Now, I know the first few weeks of Jan typically suck but I do not know why I'm getting served up the following.

Tangentially, one of my friends followed in her father’s footsteps, and has become a respected professor in the same field he became notable in. AFAIK, she’s still using her maiden name in a professional context.

One of her students turned in a final paper that plagiarized from her dad’s books, and somehow thought she wouldn’t notice.
