Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Whenever this topic comes up there is always at least one poster that says something like “women don’t want to play characters with beards.”

But literally every woman who has played a dwarf in a game I was involved with was really into their beard. Which is not to say those posters’ experiences are wrong, the are just not complete.

Maybe it is just that I like to mess with ideas of gender expression in my fantasy (and in life) as do most of the people I spend time with and have plenty of cross-gender play. 🤷🏽‍♂️
Like anything, I think it comes down to individual player preferences. Telling people that their character has to look a certain way -- especially coming from people who don't play or even like those ancestries -- is the real issue.

My wife, for the record, is a big dwarf player and is not a fan of dwarf women with beards.

To each their own. Nobody's opinion matter but the player who makes the character.

IMO, I don't see the appeal, but it doesn't matter as I don't remember ever playing a dwarf character of any gender. But why is it always that the public is so invested on how female PCs look? (This isn't isolated to dwarves, I mean the dragonboobs issue is almost as old as dragonborn)

A few ramblings. What is it with people attempting a noncomittal "both sides have good people" appeal that just shows how deeply they support one side while also demonstrating how little they even know about the other side? Just own your words for better or worse. Double down or apologize.

...

Let me see, this street has two sidewalks. One of them has double the spots for parking, which are always empty, and has no entrances at all. Why do people keep consistently picking the side with all the entrances and speciffically blocking my entrance?

...

Related to the above, this is a dead end street, only meant for local traffic. It has always been a dead end street. Yes, motorcycles pass through, but the avergae biker does whatever they want. Why do stranger cars keep entering, going all the way as if the contention walls will magically disappear then get surprised when the street leads nowhere and getting in the way of parking and leaving maneuvers of the people who live here? (Yes more than once a car passing by has done all this)

I have not. That looks cool!
When I saw the original Kickstarter, I was in. They had a good demo reel., though there's no dragon ;) A fair bit of fantasy. I minor touch of Steampunk.

(I don't know if I can take any credit for it but I had mentioned to Zachary Amundson the names of several indie production houses that might be able to help them out and they ended up connecting with Arrowstorm Entertainment.)
