Odd bit of coincidence here... both former members of the St. Louis Blues, Igor Koralev (a Blues 1997 draft pick) and Pavel Demitra wore the same jersey number - 38.

Hoping Phil McRae (the current wearer) picks another and they retire it.

Yeah, that was horrible. I'm an aquaintence to the McCrimmon family, though I didn't know Brad very well. My thoughts are out to them and the rest of the families.

Looks like the KHL is going to hold a dispersal draft to remake the team? With the season ready to start...wow. Business as usual for them. If I was a fringe hockey player looking to go over there, I'd think twice, for sure.

Being from the Grand Rapids area of Michigan, I've been a Griffins fan since they were formed. I saw Pavel play there during their 1st season. Heartbreaking.

It must be heartbreaking for the entire league and country also. How do you go on with a season after losing an entire team?!? It's going to be tough.
