Mostly I'm curious if you only want to play D&D and nothing else.

Assuming the ones I currently play on a regular basis, that's only D&D. I play or run with more than one group and quite simply I don't have the motivation, time, energy or players to play TTRPG of the week. I think those that answer 5 or more likely want very different things out of their games than I do. For me it's all about the characters, RP and the shenanigans we can get into. Not saying that's not true for other people as well, but for me as long as the game system enables me to play out the themes and characters I want and I enjoy the stories that emerge, that's all I need.
The majority of time I've always played D&D even though I try other games here and there, either one shots or campaigns that last only a few sessions. For me the juice is just not worth the squeeze of learning a new system, finding others willing to play it with me, the cost of the books required. I play a variety of video games because I get tired of a genre (e.g. FPS, racing sim, strategy, turn based RPG) and want to switch it up. But the level of investment in time and money is largely the same unless I'm replaying a specific video game for the 3rd time. I also don't need to convince anyone else to try out the new hotness.
The difference between those of us who stick with one game vs those that play system of the week (or month) is an interesting question to me.

Same. I have a bunch of digital 2e Pathfinder and Starfinder materials that I picked up from Humble Bundles, and there are some local groups that play those, but I'm getting to the age where it's harder to keep different complex rules systems straight in my head. At the moment I have two 5e.2014 games and one 5e.2024 game going and it's hard just keeping those two straight.

I'd be really curious to know more about your solo journey. These are quite different games mechanically. I've only dipped my toe in soloing. Could be in another thread on in PM.

Since we are on the topic of solo fantasy gaming, other than using theatre of the mind for combat, I use three other methods of representation.
1. All out terrain, miniatures and maps: Looks great, very immersive but time consuming to set up for each encounter.
2. Abstract battle board with zones: No very sexy but the game loop is faster. Great for dungeon crawl.
3. Mini transportable map with tokens: I created this one to play in the garden under the pergola without taking all my stuff...

I put 5+. Not simultaneously, I don't have that many days of the week free. But at any given time Ill be playing or running other games besides D&D. Most recent ones had been Mothership, 13th Age 2nd ed, Fate (exchange/mass effect SF), PF2r, Vaesen, Call of Cthulhu 7e, Scum and Villainy (FitD Star Wars/Firefly), and Fate with different additions (post-singularity supers).

Not all that play multiple systems are for the new hotness. We are rather character driven in our games and prefer longer campaigns, and we play multiple systems.
I thought I made that clear - in no way am I implying anything about how other people play or why. It's more a question of why you choose multiple systems. Even if you just jumped from one game to another because you like a variety of rules implementations, there's nothing wrong with having a different preference.
I've just never played with people that play the wide variety of games indicated here so I was curious as to motivation and how it came about I guess.

This year/last I've played 5E D&D, Fate (Dresden Files), Call of Cthulhu, Mothership, Lancer, and Pathfinder 2.
