Dedicated Axe - Through a 24-hour period of prayer, the character dedicates one particular axe to the service of Tarranus. All of the subsequent spell-like effects require that the Avenger have his dedicated axe in hand. A new axe can be dedicated, but the Avenger can never have more than one dedicated axe at a time.

Imbue Lightning - As a standard action the Avenger can imbue his dedicated axe with electrical power. The axe takes on the Shock enhancement for a number of rounds equal to the character's Avenger level plus his Charisma bonus (if any).

Air Walk - As per the Air Walk spell cast by a Cleric of the character's Avenger level.

Thunder's Shield - The character gains the listed bonus for all saves against electricity and sonic attacks.

Imbue Thunder - As a standard action the Avenger can imbue his dedicated axe with the Thundering enhancement for a number of rounds equal to the character's Avenger level plus his Charisma bonus (if any). The Avenger can imbue his axe with both Lightning and Thunder at the same time with one standard action.

Shout of Thunder - As per the Shout spell cast by a Sorcerer of the character's Avenger level.

Designer's Notes:
The basis is obviously the Fighter class. What you give up is the Fighter feats every other level.
* Basically the only thing that this PrC gives you on the even levels is the increased save vs. electrical - something that's essentially more of role-playing impact than anything else. Originally it was an increasing Energy Resistance (Electricity), but I lowered it to saves.
* Airwalk is an underpowered spell compared to Fly. The entry point for the PrC is 5th, at which point having Fly 1/day isn't really adding much.
* So then the Imbue Lightning, Imbue Thunder, and Shout become what you're really gaining for giving up 5 Fighter Feats over the course of the PrC. Those feats could have been pretty nasty ones (Improved Critical, etc) and in exchange you get something that is only usable a couple times a day but is nice during those very critical periods.

In 3.5's parlance I'll probably add that the Dedicated Axe is considered to be a "Lawful" weapon for purposes of DR, perhaps only when Imbued.

Seems pretty good. Nicely Tarranus-oriented.

I would declare a dedicated axe to be lawful in general once dedicated, regardless of whether it has been imbued with a special feature. Perhaps the penalty of being subject to protection vs law could be offset by making it +1 vs (some opponent type -- chaotic, fiendish, etc)

So is the duration of Air Walk related to AoT level (2) or total character level (~7-10) ?

However, I would suggest something else -- The character this is targeted towards is about to go through a very harrowing, possibly purifying, experience. It may be worth taking into account these special circumstances and refocusing a prestige class based on that.

What has just happened to him, and what Arlissa is about to do to him is (by definition) a life changing experience. And would therefore be a pretty good prerequisite for a prestige class.

The world is your oyster!
