Me too.

As of July 12, the "least hated rules" are:
  • AoOs :D <thumbs up!>
  • "Skill segregation (cross class skills, trained-only skills, etc)
  • Animal companions <I hate 'em,...but what can ya do?>
  • Raise dead (and related) mechanics
  • Fatigue & Exhaustion
  • Encumbrance
  • Level Adjustment
  • Meta-Magic: pay with a feat, pay again with a higher spell slot

FWIW, I agree with all the selections but the animal companions/special mounts/familars. Pets are lame, no two ways about it. I've removed them from my game. :]

How in the heck are there even 40 people that like the grapple rules.

Blows my mind. Not that I have a better way of handling it… but I still refuse to believe that some of you actually LIKE it.

I think it's delightfully appropriate that this poll game has awfully complicated rules. :)
Geez... I read the small print after I voted. Is there anyway to change your vote (since I just voted the opposite of what I intended)?

I learned something today; until I saw this poll, it hadn't really occured to me that metamagic feats could be perceived as too *weak* by enough people to make it a poll entry.

The only metamagic ever taken in any of the games i've played in was empower. It was only taken once.

The same double opportunity cost can be said to be present for item creation... I was working on some way to give an inherent craft reserve boost for each item creation feat at one point but never really finished with something I was happy with...

That's just the point, isn't it? :)

Yea but 40 people actually think it was GOOD. That’s what I don’t understand hehe. I guess I assumed everyone that used the system knew it sucked but that no one could figure out a better solution.

<--- learns something new every day.

Is not hating it the same as thinking its good? Not in my experience. The grappling rules are complicated, but they serve there purpose. They also only come up when you need them. On the other hand, the dodg mechanic gives almost no benefit and encourages you to mention it every round of combat.

Grrrrrr.
