Quick question on Stunning Attack

It says in the PHB that the Monk can make a Stunning Attack "once per round, but not more than once per level per day".

Does this mean, "once per MONK level per day" or "once per CHARACTER level per day"?

Once per Monk level. All instances of per level in a class always refer to Class level. Those few abilities that refer to character level, always say character level.

That is except for the times when WotC made a mistake, then the opposite or sideways version is true.

But the feat stunning fist can be taken by anyone and is usable 1/level/day, and the monks get it as a virtual feat. Thus, its charcter level.

The last sentence of the feat stunning fist reads:You may attempt a stunning attack once per day for every FOUR levels you have attained, and no more than once per round

Also, stunning fist CANNOT be taken by everyone. IT has quite a list of pre-req's. Dex 13+, Wis 13+, Imp. unarmed strike, and a base attack bonus of +8.

The monks version is much better then the feat.

Rather than making a new topic, I'm gonna ask it here.

For Stunning Fist and Quivering Palm, in which the save vs. which include the Monk's Wisdom modifier, if the Monk drinks a Potion of Wisdom or other such potion that increases his Wisdom for a certain amount of time, does the enemy save vs. Monk's base Wisdom or increased Wisdom?

Increased Wisdom

Only because you get to do it more often.

Actually, if you are multiclassed or have any levels of any PrCs, then the feat is better since it would have a higher DC.

Plus it's worth taking anyway, just to get more stun attacks.

A related question is: you need the stunning fist feat to get the pain touch feat, but it activates off of a successful stunning attack. Since stunning attack and stunning fist are different, does that mean the pain touch only works for a monk who previously took stunning fist? If you were a non-monk who took stunning fist and pain touch, you would never be able to make a stunning attack since that is a monk only virtual feat.

Personally I think that is stupid and they should be considered the same thing, what do you guys think?
