Recharging Staffs?

I´m trying to find a text that describes how to recharge a staff that has lost it´s charges. Is that still possible in 3e, and if yes, where is it described?

I´m looking through my books at the moment...but maybe one of you all is faster? Any comments very appreciated :D

Recharging is not in the core rules.

If your staff has no more charges, it is just a staff. You would have to make another staff.

If it still has charges, some DMs use a house rule to allow recharging. I suppose you would have to figure out how much each charge costs and pay that amount in gold and XP, and it would take one day for each 1000gp that it cost to recharge the thing.

So, do we have any ideas why these rules were not included? They seem simple enough. THink it was an oversight? Or do they know something we don't?

I don't think it was an oversight. I think they wanted to ensure that these were temporary items. If you want another, make another.

For now, I do not do recharging IMCs. It has not been a big deal yet.
