Is Necropolis SL or Necromancer games? Necromancer stuff is not SL although both are SSS.

It's just Necromancer-- the common element with SL (or more specifically, R&R) is Clark Petersen. My bad, it was a slip-- I just tend to think of Clark as transcendent of Necromancer/SSS.

It sounds like The Hunt is closer to what I am looking for but I am attracted to the higher perceived value of the SSS books. I hope it doesn't come across as a slight on MEG at all, but I think we can all agree that SSS has a leg up on pretty production values. I admit it, I'm uninformed on content, and easily distracted by shiny things.

I'll give the MEG's Hunt a shakedown, it has received excellent reviews here.

But man, you put it to me hard to make me choose between Witch Hunters and Skaven...

I don't own the hunt setting, just mystic warriors from MEG, but I think their inquisitors are more heretic oriented than witch (although the setting has witches so maybe). SL is more hard core monsters and combat carnage, Hunt is more intrigue/mystery/developed horror as far as mood styles. I haven't played either setting but I've stolen from both for the ravenloft game I run and the Greyhawk game I play in.

Twin crowns has elves similar to WFRPs

The ratmen are their own supplement in SL and there are some in CC and I think CC2 although nightfall can tell you more conclusively.

Thanks. That was the point behind writing the spell. When I was reading R&R it really bugged me that the Penumbral Lords got stuck with a rarely usable spell for 9th level. So I wrote what I thought would be a cool spell for them. Honestly thats the best way to get into something like this, find what the weak point is and fix it.

Well that's certainly true Jeff. Btw glad it was you that did that. It was a great contribution! :)

The same guys that bought the issue of Playboy with Chyna in it. :)

By the way, Nightfall, your enthusiasm has finally infected me. Hammer away long enough, you know. I picked up Necropolis not too long ago, but it is an adventure adrift without a setting... So I might have to look at SL.

Now that's harsh! ;) *not really but I thought I'd fake a little sincerity*

Well I definately would like Necropolis but mainly just as an adventure not as a Setting. But I'm glad that my enthusiam has paid off then Wulf.

Right well. The Ratmen/Slitheren have one book, Vigil Watch: Warren of the Ratmen. The actual STATS for a "normal" of each brood is found in CC1 and CC2. What Warren gives you is some adventures (I like the larger scale of the first one than the other one but Will Timms wrote both of them.) some information on the 12 broods, and also a little idea for Pr-classes that can be Slitheren specific.

I was actually looking at Necropolis earlier today; It seemed to use Ancient Egypt as it's setting (map and all!), but easily adapted into another setting easily enough. I'll likely be picking it up tomorrow; I've got an Egypt-centric region that would benefit from it, especially combining it with Bastion's Egyptian Gods.

I've got a bit of the MEG material. I'm actually quite happy with their stuff, and would likely run a game in their setting if I wasn't so bogged down with my own work. Even without the actual setting, most of their stuff is easily portable (I've got a few of their items incorporated already, with a few more in the works).

Granted, not as much as the S&SS material, but then again, I haven't incorporated anyone else's material as much either.;)

That's okay Ben. :) You have your own world to play in. And I CERTAINLY think Aedon is a nice little world, even if it's not what I'd use and/or play in much. But I KNOW I'd have fun in it! :)

Best Relic: Wrack Blade (minor)

I think that's mine...

(curious about how much they remained untouched)

Are there three different ones, one for each of the CC1 wrack dragons?

Are they all still scimitars?

There are different ones yes, for each wrack dragon. They are scimtars.

Sweet! :D Well, I know I have at least ONE thing in there. And all from a thought I had when reading CC1 for the first time - "Man, 'wrackblade' would be a cool name for a sword."

My other submissions were two magic items, nine druid spells, five "chronomancy" spells, and a Sor/Wiz necromancy spells. Certainly ONE of those bard spells I submitted had to have made it in, they all had very unique names :)
