Ring of the Fey Lord (DM:Atanatotatos, Judge:Lord Sessadore)Up:Lorik, etc.

As the satyr falls, the gnome’s cheerful voice can be heard echoing through:

“And on top of that, Sir Goatface - I quit!”

Rhole jams off a victorious wah-wah effect with the Great Ultra-Intense Thundering Audio Ripper, closing in on the action and sending out a beat that causes Ikni to forget about her bruises and focus on bopping her head.

The amplified tune climaxes in a high-pitched wail, causing an intense projection of sound that visibly ripples through the air and homes in on the unicorn.

[sblock=Actions]Move: To F10.
Minor: Majestic Word to heal Ikni 12 hp. She can also dance slide a square of her choice, but I figure her current position is actually preferable.
Standard: Focused Sound at unicorn. On a hit of Reflex 18 it deals 9 thunder damage and any attack crits the unicorn on an 18-20 until end of Rhole’s next turn.

You guys might want to consider burning action points to exploit the crit-party if this hits, but then again we do seem to have victory in sight.

Oh, and I can't believe we forgot the feverish and helpless Lorik. That's kind of funny.
Sorry, but that's friggin' hilarious! :D

I wonder what would cause more guilt - coming back and finding him dead, or coming back and finding him gone. It was an official enemy post, right? Meaning some not-too-friendly fey will eventually investigate?

That goes for anyone, if you prefer something else send it to me, my user name at gmail.com
Jimi Hendrix is now officially in your inbox.

If only I had some image-editing skills, I would have fixed gnome eyes on him, made his hair more huge, and added a vast goatee to connect as guitar-strings, so he would look more like Rhole.[/sblock]

ooc: might as well slide to the east. It doesn't get me anything now, but it puts me one square closer to a good flanking position, and if the unicorn hits me or someone else with that beguiling again, it might put me/them out of reach for OAs.

[sblock=OOC]Good point. I was thinking it might leave Haruka open, but with Ikni's defender mojo that's probably not as much of a concern.

Consider yourself slid.[/sblock]

I need to concentrate on the games I'm DM'ing - they're grinding to a halt without me. Go ahead and NPC me if my turn comes up.
Since its currently Ironheart's turn and he's also dazed, I suggest charging the unicorn (at D14 to end closer to a flanking position).[/sblock]

The satyr's melody speaks to Derien of something ancient and Elven, something far removed from grimy docks and crooked officials. He recovers himself only barely in time to direct a little of Nerati's power toward Ironheart.

Ikni ignores the blood pooling at her feet. Her blade whirls again, striking the satyr another resounding thump with the flat, this time the blow catches the fey creature in the head, his eyes roll back in his head and the satyr drops.

...
...

Something's not right...

Haruka struggles to throw off the fey's enchantment as she gathers even more eldritch power. The coils build up around her hands, crackling menacingly. She gestures towards the unicorn, smirks, and is about to unleash lashing torment-

Wait! That's it!

The coils stream through the air harmlessly as Haruka loses concentration and turns to Ikni.

"Holy ****, we totally abandoned Lorik in that hut!"

Ironheart rushes in to strike the unicorn, but the creatures magnificence is too much for the warden and his blow is wide.

The unicorn moves away from the mass around it and charges at Rhole, it's nostrils flaring as it seethes at the insulting gnome's comments. The horn smashes into Rhole stomach, leaving the gnome lying on the ground staring up at the creature as he struggles to catch his breath.

Rhole swallows hard as the unicorn stampedes his way.

“Uh oh, looks like tough audience toni- OOF!”

The gnome goes flying off his feet with a cry of pain, but there’s no sight of him landing. He simply vanishes mid-air in a puff of smoke – the kind of smoke used for cheap stage performance during a concert – leaving only a barely suppressed whimper in his wake.

[sblock=Actions]Immediate Reaction: Fade Away upon being damaged. Rhole is invisible until he attacks or until end of his next turn.

Please use the Focused Sound effect to crit that horse with furious vengeance, guys!
