Ring of the Fey Lord (DM:Atanatotatos, Judge:Lord Sessadore)Up:Lorik, etc.

[sblock=ooc]I would make an educated guess that the satyr's Reflex is 15. ren said I only hit because of my proximity, which I think translates to "A 14 wouldn't hit, but the +1 from prime shot pushed it over the edge." So that's not impossible to hit, but the odds aren't as good as I'd like. If taran Lances the satyr, he could give you (Dunamin) the +2 for your next attack. Short of you moving into melee, I don't know how else to boost your accuracy.[/sblock]

Ikni ignores the blood pooling at her feet. With a cry, she reaches her free hand down and punches the ground, calling on her heritage to rally the earth itself to her aid. The nearby ground trembles, and both the unicorn and the satyr look shaky for a moment. Her blade whirls again, striking the satyr another resounding thump with the flat.

[sblock=actions]minor: earthshock vs. Fort atainst unicorn, satyr: 14, 14. On a hit, they fall prone. Probably both misses, I'm guessing.
standard: booming blade vs. Satyr: hits AC 21 for 10 damage and another 5 thunder if he moves away. That's nonlethal. If earthshock hit, add +2 for combat advantage. Not that it matters; if a 19 hit last round, presumably a
Move: only if the unicorn is knocked prone, shift to G15. If it's still standing, no move.

The earthshock hits the satyr, your attack also hits and will be enough to ko the creature. Only the unicorn left.

[sblock=Actually...]Isn't Ikni dazed? I would highly recommend dropping the Earthshock and keeping the attack, for obvious reasons.[/sblock]

Something's not right...

Haruka struggles to throw off the fey's enchantment as she gathers even more eldritch power. The coils build up around her hands, crackling menacingly. She gestures towards the unicorn, smirks, and is about to unleash lashing torment-

Wait! That's it!

The coils stream through the air harmlessly as Haruka loses concentration and turns to Ikni.

"Holy ****, we totally abandoned Lorik in that hut!"

[sblock=Actions, if you can call it that]Standard: Eldritch Blast the unicorn. 18 damage. That's pretty good, right? No reason to look at the to-hit roll. No reason at all. What's that? Oh, fine. I rolled a 3.
Free: Curse. Not Warlock's Curse, but to actually swear.

Son of a [expletive deleted], what's happening? I have some theories:

1. Karmic backlash for bragging about how I never miss with my encounter power. In an ironic twist, I still retain perfect accuracy with Vampiric Embrace, but now I can't hit with my at-wills.

2. IC gives me just enough luck for one character. It was fine when all I had was Haruka, but now I have my LEB character too. My LEB character can only hit with at-wills, and my L4W character will never hit with at-wills. Maybe I shouldn't be so eager to create character #3.

3. ren's lousy warlock luck is rubbing off on Haruka.

(Yes, I know I just hit with EB last turn, but that was only because of Prime Shot and playing with the initiative order. If it had just been up to IC, I would have missed.)

Oh, and I can't believe we forgot the feverish and helpless Lorik. That's kind of funny.[/sblock]

I'm positive it's #3... although I must've used up all the warlock luck with mine as I finally hit with my blast! Oh, yeah poor Lorik. I'm sure some kind fey creature will nurse him back to health (unless someone from Pan's Labyrinth finds him)

The satyr's melody speaks to Derien of something ancient and Elven, something far removed from grimy docks and crooked officials. He recovers himself only barely in time to direct a little of Nerati's power toward Ironheart.[sblock=Actions]I'm dazed, so I can't shoot anyone this turn, or move and heal, so there's only one choice:
