Ring of the Fey Lord (DM:Atanatotatos, Judge:Lord Sessadore)Up:Lorik, etc.

“This journey you guys are on sound like it would make a wicked fresh piece. No better way of telling such a tale than through the Great Ultra-Intense Thundering Audio Ripper.”

"Well, I suppose many legends have brutal origins such as this."

As Rhole starts playing, Haruka glances imploringly towards the unconscious satyr. Please wake up soon She then looks down at her feet and notices that one of them is tapping in time. She scowls at it and the motion stops.

Ikni listens, pausing at one point to extinguish a nearby twig that has spontaneously caught fire. "Dramatic," she comments. "Do you know anything... quieter?"

[sblock=ooc]Ikni is at full health, somehow, so no surges for me. [/sblock]

[sblock=1 surge]Rhole will spend one himself, restoring him to full health.

In other news, we're just waiting for the satyr to wake up, get directions, and be on our way, right? Which should happen at the end of a short rest? (PH p295)[/sblock]

No one's unconscious, no one's on the verge of death. Good. Odd, but good. Once it's clear that the unicorn will recover, Derien settles down beneath a tree to wait. He stays out of the way for the post-battle introductions, preferring to let Haruka do her thing.[sblock=OOC]The party, as it now stands, is tough as nails: 2 leaders, 2 defenders, and the toughest striker-type in the game*. I fear for our safety in swarm scenarios, but we can by God handle a straight-up slugfest.

Also: If we finish a short rest and the unicorn is still down, I'll burn a healing word to wake it up. I know we were technically supposed to talk to the satyr, but I can't help but think the unicorn would be more helpful.

*Ok, except maybe the Avenger, but who cares about him?[/sblock]

As Derien's words flow into the unicorn the creature's eyes open and it looks around in surprise.

"What is going on? Where am I?" the unicorn asks, looking around fearfully.

[sblock=Unicorn behaviour]Has Rhole seen the unicorn act this way before? Was it always submissive to the satyr or does it seem like some "spell" has been broken?[/sblock]

"Just how hard did you hit it?" Haruka mutters at Ironheart.

She turns to the unicorn, "Do you truly not remember? You and your companions," she gestures towards the satyr and boar, "just fought us in a contest. We won, which means you need to give us directions to the Lady of Nightmares."
