Believe me, trying to inject realism into the game will never be my primary goal.Look I agree with you guys on what the rules of 5e say but please don't try to use "realism" arguments to "prove" that those rules are the correct way to do it. The 5e rules (just like other editions) are simply gaming rules to add some tactics to the game and there are many ways to do it.
