D&D 5E (2024) Skeleton Familiar plus Net = Fisher of Men

Villager
i have been playing a pact of the chain warlock for a bit and was investigating unusual ways to put the different forms into play. plus i came across Treantmonk's recent net use post on youtube. this idea is not necessarily contingent on the skeleton pact of the chain familiar, but you would need a form that has hands and enough strength (and perhaps realistic size at certain tables) to manage carrying a few 3 pound nets.

would a familiar that has been affected by the warlock invocation investment of the chain master use the specific rule of "Your Save DC. If the familiar forces a creature to make a saving throw, it uses your spell save DC." to override the net save DC with your spell save DC while attacking with a net? it seems RAW at least.

any thoughts on this or other useful tools and adventuring gear that your pact of the chain warlock familiars can use in a radically effective manner?

ps pardon the evangelical pun

If the Skeleton familiar forces a creature to make a saving throw, it uses your spell save DC, which Net do.

RAW on paper perhaps but i don't know if it's RAI.

YMMV depending how DM ruling goes.

Aint no rule say a familiar can't attune to an enspelled weapon. At a certain point "enspelled dagger of web" is cheaper and lighter than a buncha nets.
i suppose, but i can get a net anywhere, at any level, in most every game/table. not so much with a rare magic item. even if you are allowed to make such an item, you are talking 50 days and 2000 gp!

The same could apply to Acid, Holy Water, Alchemist Fire or Oil.
or wrapping a chain around your recently netted target... very possible in a world of familiars who cannot necessarily attack. so step one your warlock throws the net, step two your familiar utilize actions a chain on the target... now they have to spend two actions if they ever wish to become unrestrained!

And nothing in the rulebook that says a dog can’t play basketball!

(I’m joking of course, this seems perfectly reasonable, especially since skeletons are generally on the weak side for warlock familiars)
