Okay, here is my preliminary idea, and you tell me what you think...

It's a time of change for the meterial world that the character starts in. Only mundane things are around at this point. Human's are dominant, and there are no such things as elves, or dwarves or anything else... but the old god that governed this world had acedently made a mistake, and in taking all of the magic from the world, and swaring to let the beings of this world have complete rein over their lives, they soon forgot that he existed, and he faded out to the astral plane, leaving this world free.

Well, there were other gods waiting to take over, and they do, causing magic to explode on the surface of the world, creatures at random changing forms to those of the other known creatures of the other material planes.

YOu are one of the creatures, and the adventure starts just before the new gods take the palce of the old god.

What do you think?

I like the premise...:)

When you say that the "new" gods are coming in and making changes, this will be the introduction of elves, dwarves, dragons, etc...right?

What level do you want to start at, as well as where in the "world" are we?

Looking foward to hearing more about this either on list, or by e-mail..:)

Yes, the beginning of the 'world' as we know it should be like, but without any of the racial histories, and predigise... that will come with time.

Basically, your character is going to witness a new age.

YOur character will start in a newly formed outpost town on the edge of the 'fronteer'. Beyond the 'fronteer' and the town, to the east is a desert that goes at least one hundred miles, where mountains in the distancecan be seen.

The character is going to start out at 1st level, just completing... whatever training. (ore then likely a warrior, since there will be few things in the fronteer town to keep a rogue fat, and magic, though it does work, is tedious and slow (an hour of motions and rituals to create the effects of a 0 level spell. The power is there, it's just to finite to use).

What do you think?

I wanted to start in a remote territory, because it'll be easier to type up what the character sees rather then try to explain the mass hesteria of the more populated areas.

Once I get back up to Va this weekend, I would definately like to give this a shot. The family is all down here visiting my folks this week, and don't have much internet time with everything else thrown in the mix.

Look foward to rehashing everything out with you once I get back..:)

I was thinking of my normal house rolling style, but since you are the only player, let me know if they are to agressive for you, and we can do a more traditional rolling meathode for abilities:

4d6, reroll 1s once, lowest score turns to an 18.

You have to be human to start, but you'll need a good background, so IF you are... altered during the time of change, then I may be able to choose a form that will not cause you TOO much distress.

If there are any creatures that you would just HATE to be, let me know and I'll avoid them.

Will work on getting the char sheet drafted up for you, and hopefully will have a history for you as well. Since the game will be taking place on a frontier setting, for the most part his background is just going to be how he became who he is.

As far as races go, I'm open for any of them, even if it is one from Savage Species, as I have that book as well. *Anthrotopic Baboon ECL2* :)

Hopefully I won't let you down, as I would hate for you to take it out on Veitus right now..*L*

Mith,

Below are the roll results from the Irony Web roller. I cut and pasted them as they were on the page, and to be honest, I think they will be too high for the game, but wanted to show you them as were.

Since they are so high already, you don't have to switch the lowest out to an 18 as they are already high to begin with if you let them slide.

Let me know either way, and I will go from there on the story and stats.

You requested that 6 rolls of 4 6-sided dice be rolled.
Roll them bones ... your dice are
Roll 1: 5, 6, 2, 4 = 17.
Roll 2: 2, 5, 3, 6 = 16.
Roll 3: 1, 3, 4, 6 = 14.
Roll 4: 3, 1, 6, 6 = 16.
Roll 5: 3, 3, 2, 5 = 13.
Roll 6: 2, 5, 1, 2 = 10.
