Songs & Movies that made you cry.

"The Baby" by Blake Shelton.

Cause I was my mother's youngest, and I found out of my mother passing alot like the song... It's just to close to real life to not make me tear up. :(

Songs:
Silent all these years - Tori Amos. Every freaking time. I now skip that song on the cd unless I am feeling need for catharisis

Letter to Elise, Pictures of You and Catch from the Cure. Absolutely beautiful

"Pathetique" Symphony #6, tchaikovsky one of the most moving pieces of music I have ever experienced.

Movies:
Always, with Richard Dreyfus and Holly Hunter. Also Mr. Hollands Opus. I'm a bit of a Dreyfus fan.

x2, I'm a sucker but I actually weep up when I see the Phoenix effect in the water. :)

Empire Strikes Back- the scene where Han goes in the ice...

Four Weddings and a Funeral. I alternate between histerical laughter and sobbing through this whole movie, but the funeral scene and the final moment in the rain make me bawl like a small child.

"Pathetique" Symphony #6, tchaikovsky one of the most moving pieces of music I have ever experienced.
I agree. Its been a long time since I have heard it though....Some classical music has that power.

Return of the King did it.

The end when Sam say's "I'm Back" Well, i was crying like a baby.

The girl sitting next to me thought I was nuts...I dont think she was a big fan but rather just there to be with her husband.

Return of the King...boy...there were a few spots that got me. But none more than when Aragorn's army was surrounded, just trying to buy some time for Frodo. When he turns to everyone, and says, "For Frodo." And Merry and Pippin charge ahead without hesitation before anyone else even takes a step...

Niagra Falls...

Kevin nailed it with Johnny Cash's version of Hurt. I'm a Nine Inch Nails fan, but I never liked Hurt. At All.

Until Johnny did it.

Even without the video, it is heart-wrenching. The video can tear my heart clean out. Denise and I knew that Johnny had died when the radio turned on one morning (alarm clock radio) and it was playing Hurt. You see, we listen to a talk station in the morning...

Just typing about it gets me going.

The other Nine Inch Nails song that USED to do it for me is the "Ultimate Break Up Song"... From Pretty Hate Machine, "Something I Can Never Have"

I don't think I even own the CD anymore, but I can recite the lyrics in a heartbeat.

"i still recall the taste of my tears - echoing your voice just like the ringing in my ears - my favourite dreams of your still wash ashore - scraping through my head ' til i don't want to sleep, anymore... in this palce it seems like such a shame - though it all looks different now - i know its still the same - everywhere i look you're all i see - just a fading ******* reminder of who i used to be..."
