Speculation on Weapons

Tonights excerpt will cover weapons. Now, I feel that a lot of information has already come out regarding weapons, so my expectations of this particular preview have kind of been lowered. What do we know about weapons:

*We know some (maybe all) of the weapon categories.
*Proficiency grants various bonuses that differ across types of weapons, reflecting accuracy.
*Some weapons are versatile.
*Some weapons add additional bonus damage dice on critical hits.

I'm assuming that some or all of these weapon qualities will be covered into tonight's excerpt. What I'm hoping for is that there are some additional qualities that we haven't seen yet that really add to the feel of a weapon, stuff like reach and the ability to trip. Will there be double weapons in 4e? Can I force movement with 4e weapons?

What do you want to see in tonight's excerpt?

I believe it was mentioned some time ago that fighters could use weapons in ways other classes could not. I'd like to hear some confirmation on that... and if that's the case... some elaboration would be great.

I'm thinking some of the things we used before during combat; trip, sunder, etc., have become part of certain weapons IF you have a pre-req.
I'm thinking if you have a martial class you can trip with a bullwhip. If not, you just injure people. And you can get that martial class with multi-classing feat.

So a Wizard can't sunder with a dagger, but maybe a Paladin can.

Thoughts?

It be an interesting idea, but I would suspect that this would be accomplished via feats. That said, I have a feeling that sunder is probably out of the game.

rules or info on crafting said weapons. Also I wonder if they kept the mechanic were each weapon has a ?maneuver? or whatever built into it. early after 4e their was talk that weapons would have uneq abilities or something to that effect. I wonder if they are still apart of the game. Thier was also something to do with wisdom and the way weapons worked.

Methinks it was in the R&C that it said fighters would have either class features or manuvers which allowed them to Disarm and Trip opponents. The basic idea was that Feats generally improved what you already had as a class or race, not granting new abilities beyond the original concept.
