Have to say I am looking forward to it. The first one I was worried about but now bring on Doc Ock.

Doc Ock looks wickedly cooler than Green Goblin. I cannot wait to see the movie.

The only problem I had with the first Spidey (I now own the DVD) was that William Dafoe is much better out of costume than in-costume... he's such an intense dude. I ran into him once on 6th Ave & 8th in NYC--nobody even noticed him but me--he was totally tripping out and looked as f*d up as ever. That GG costume really blew chunks... not very animated eh? The scene where he's doped up Spidey on the roof has got to be the worst scene in the movie--it drives me nuts every time I see it because it's like watching the dudes at Six Flags dressed up in Tweety outfits talking to each other. Not very dynamic, not very dramatic... makes one recognize the impact of a "caped" crusader on film...

I was pleased to see the MJ-Peter Parker interaction getting play in the teaser. One of the things that made the first movie so good, IMO, was the development of Parker's relationships: with MJ, May, Ben, Harry, etc. Because what makes Spidey the Marvel super-hero (and the first Spidey movie my favorite super-hero flick) is his humanity. He's just a guy who got bit by the wrong bug and still has to sort out his life.

Bring it on. Preview looks even better than the trailers for the first one. I was wondering how they'd do Doc Ock's arms without it looking cheesy - turns out it's not even close to cheese.
