Its hard to compare them to the OT because its a completely different galaxy, so its a completely different story to tell.
I don't see how that makes them hard to compare. It's the moviemaking craft that's being compared, not the stories themselves. I think the stories of the two prequels we've seen so far are fine, if not absolutely excellent. It's the execution of the stories with bad pacing, bad dialogue, bad editing and even bad acting (although I mostly blame the director on that -- most of those actors are quite capable in other roles I've seen them in) that makes them compare poorly with the OT, not the stories or the setting.

Obviously, our opinions differ. I'm of the opinion that because the setting is so much different, that even the style needs to be different to represent that. The dialogue is probably the best representation of this...though I'll agree with the pacing and action being off. Not as much bad as at least off.

But the setting definitely does effect the dialogue and how things are delivered. Though I'm not in the mood to get into another one of these discussions. I'm happy enough to just agree to disagree. :)

the problem is
Directed by
George Lucas
Writing credits
George Lucas

On the DVD of Willow, Mr. Lucas say that project as big as Willow and Star Wars, you can't do every thing alone.

The thing is Lucas is not a good director that's why in EsB and RotJ Mark Hamill look like a good actor.

Apparently. Keep in mind, I'm no Star Wars nor Lucas basher, and I'm actually quite a bit excited about Revenge of the Sith. I'm not trying to fool myself into thinking that the Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones are better than they were, either, though. They had some obvious faults, and it's very disappointing that there was no need for that.

I can’t help but find it interesting that a commercial for a move is parsed, studied and vivisected as much as the political record of a presidential candidate.

The suit does look odd, but then his arms are in odd positions up and at about a 45 degree angle or so, rather than say – straight out or down to his sides.
