OOC: Kim; all right, if you want to invite her to a restaurant it's not very hard to convince her and she accepts. The ''Lion's Share'' is a 10 minute drive from the camp. It has everything a tourist would expect of a safari themed restaurant; animal trophies, Zulu gears, colonial hats for the waiters, silly pseudo native skirts for the waitresses, etc. The food is good though.

Do I read you right; you and Lana are off to the restaurant while Luddite and Gournay stay at the canteen? If so, make your next post in a different thread (linked to here). If you stay together keep using this one.

Luddite nods to Kim as he takes Lana out to dinner. He sits down with Dr. Gournay

If you have a spare moment Doctor, I would like to ask a few questions.

[ OOC: At this point I am not going press for any information. Just get a feel for Dr. Gournay and maybe talk a little bit about Beaujolais. Try to do a dimplomacy check (+4) to improve his dispossition.

If asked, my story is that I meet with Dr. Beaujolais only briefly when I was in NYC before heading out here. Just to make things interesting, my "meeting" with Beaujolais happened about the same time that he meet with Balladur.

The meeting was very short, sort of passing in the hall way. Beaujolais gave his impressions on the situation (as in the proposed report), said to say hello to Gournay, and to becareful if you play cards with him.

I realy don't want to push my luck with my bluff, just spend the time getting to know him. ]

[OOC: He did ask you about your meeting with Beaujolais in a previous post. I've taken note of your answer.

Luddite asks a few simple questions about the work. Nothing realy important except to put Gournay at ease. He then asks....

Some of the preliminary reports, I have seen, are looking at down playing the significance of the TB epidemic here. They are stating that it is just side epidemic of AIDS and nothing more then that. I was wonder about your oppinion on the matter of the Severity of the TB Epidemic?

[ OOC: I am going to assume that there is nothing alarming, Sense Motive wise, about his comment. I am guessing that at this point he has a natural desire to help these people. If this is not what I pick up, let me know. ]

Well, thank you for your time, Doctor. I shall not keep you any longer. However if you are interested in Drinks and a casual game of cards when you are off duty, let me know. I will see if any of my other Graduate Assitants or crew would care for a little diversion. If you know of others who might be interested, we can set up a simple poker night.

Gournay seems enthusiastic at the mention of a poker game.

-''By all means, let's set up a game. What about tonight? I'm done by 10 PM.

Do you have a nice lodge? We usually set up at the camp's canteen and that's hardly the best possible spot.''

When asked about a possible internet access, he shrugs.

-''You should use a laptop with a cellular connection. That's what anyone who can afford it does around here. Otherwise you'll have to wait for Lana to get back. She allows anyone who want to check their e-mail access to her office computer for that purpose.''

[OOC: : You are basically riding on your previous bluff and sense motive skill for the whole conversation.]

All is well here. Had a lovely chat and arranged for a card game this evening at the lodge. Some of the others from here may join.

I think all we have to do tonight is tour the Lab and then that is it for here. Tomarrow will take care of itself.
