Kim hops out of the jeep... and smells the air deeply...
"Yeah lets find the ol' Proffesor... I am sure by now he must be worried sick that his assistant is off getting into trouble. Good man but can be somwhat protective and what he calls a realist... or something..."
Helps Lana out of the car...

Luddite finishes his meal while going over his notes. But also looks around and trys to get a feel for the place. He wonders outside the canteen and near the administrative building, looking around and taking notes.
[ OOC: For the most part try I scope out the area to give notes to Ghost (or whoever) will be coming back late at night to poke around ]
Luddite sees the Jeep return with Kim and Lana. He mutters under his breath. Don't get your hopes up for tonight, you have a more important engagemnet tonight.
Luddite smiles as the meet.
Well I hope he was little trouble. But when ever you are ready we can finish up with the Lab then call it an evening.

Lana greets Luddite and propose to get on with the tour; onward to the lab! As she escorts Kim and Luddite toward themuch expected tour of the laboratory, the two soldiers on stand by at the camp walks toward them and greet them casually. But they have unslung their rifles and carry them casually in their hands, canon pointed down.

Kim glances to Luddite... with a slight look of 'what should we do...'

Luddite looks kind of confused for a bit then shrugs. He walks foward and brings up his breif case to get his ID Papers. He fumbles around with the breif case a bit as he approaches. Then suddendly he "trips" and papers fly every where as he falls into one of the Guards
[ OOC: Okay. Call it a tackle attack, with a bluff (the tipping and tossing of papers) to get that extra upper hand. I will toss the breif case towards the one I am not tripping in hopes that he will lose the ready on his rifle.
Melee Attack +0, Strenght +0, Dex +1. Not much but I hope I gain a little in the surprise.]

Kim sees Luddite fall forward... and watches the other guard's reaction... he will move to gather the rifle if it is dropped; if not.. and things look ugly... he will push Lana down.. reach for his pistol in his jacket.... and start a gun-fight worthy of John Woo... in his early years...

The soldiers are lying. They are not making a routine check. And their rifle shouldn't be unslung. Whether your ID is good enough to pass inspection is irrelevant.
These informations I didn't give you; they are still 30 feet away from you. You are midway between the lab and the administrative building. You are over open ground, but the tents are 30 feet to your left (south of the lab and admin building. Your jeep is on the other side of tent area which is almost 1000 feet deep. It is, however, heavily crowded with plenty of cover. There is a parking for the staff behind the admin building. That's about 200 feet around, less if you rush through the building. Do these cars have their keys in the ignition? Neither of you remember (5 + 4 for luddite, 3 + ? for Kim)
