St. Clair family figs thread

First Post
Well, Being a proud Papa, I thought I'd post some of my daughter's latest figs in spite of the fact that she says they aren't good enough yet. They're better than mine at least, and I'm not too embarassed to throw them out on the battlemat.

This is Amanda's most recent paintjob, her 8th fig.

For comparison purposes, here are some of mine.

My most recent fig, none of mine looked like fun, so I stole one of my daughters.

They all look great. One suggestion I would make for you and your daughter is to stick with black for eyes. Using blues, etc. never seem to come out bold enough to suit me.

Who makes that Valkyrie fig at the top of the thread, btw?

That's a fairly recent (within the last year) Reaper. Actually, all the figs posted are Reaper. I have a lot of GW figs, and a couple of Ral Partha, but lately it seems like I only paint Reaper.

A few more pics... an Earth Sorcerer, by me.

And an Owlbear...
Postings will slow down now. I'm going to take pics of the figs before sealing them, so we'll only post new projects from here on in.

Hey those are pretty good! Your daughter seems to have a real good grasp of the basics. In a little while she can start try fun thigs like adding tatoo's, runes and such. Good luck and once again good job.

P.S: Your mini's are very good also. I like the earth sorcerer.

The Seraph of Earth and Stone

Thanks Kengar and Stone Angel.

It's all part of my EVIL PLAN!tm My son Zachary (16) has been playing games with me and other folks for years. He was born a gamer. Amanda (18) on the other hand never seemed interested. She piddled around in a LARP Vampire game with her boyfriend, but that was it. Every time I broke out the figs and paint though, Zach could have cared less, While suddenly Amanda was interested. I eventually talked her into painting a fig.... around 2 months later she was playing D20 modern one shots with the family, a few months later she was playing in my saturday D&D game at our FLGS. Now she wants to learn to GM before she goes away to college.

Anyway, I'm hoping to get another fig painted this weekend (for a game I'm in Monday). If it turns out halfway decent I'll post a pic.

Chris
