Star Wars Saga character creation help

Nice. With languages it's definetly good idea to consult the GM before deciding but depending on his guides it would perhaps be good to pick either High Galactic or Ryl, as they are both more or less elite-languages and then Bocce which is sort of commercial language. Or as someone already mentioned, either Binary or Shyriiwook so you can understand droids or wookiees more easily ;).

Well, I got a lot of things sorted out, but am still stuck on a couple. Debating on languages (waiting to hear back from the DM on which ones would be appropriate), and also debating on whether I want to go with being a Force Whore or just a Super-Persuasive/Deceptive-Whore-Who-Is-Pretty-Good-With-a-Blaster.

Here's what I have thus far:

Some pretty interesting options as far as potential feats (and I can't help but grin slyly at the notion of "Force whore.")

My strongest suggestion of the options listed would be either Point Blank Shot or Martial Arts I, with the later also giving you a much needed bump on your Reflex Defense. While the idea of a "Force whore" is interesting to say the least, unless you plan on picking up a ligthsaber at some point, then you'd be better off multiclassing into Jedi at 2nd or 3rd level to get Force Sensitivity as a multiclass bonus feat instead; one thing to remember about SWSE is that the name of the class isn't a straight-jacket, so just becuase you have Jedi levels doesn't mean your character is or ever was a Jedi (there have been a surprising number of people since the game's release that have had a hard time wrapping their head around that notion).

Another suggestion, as I saw you have Improved Damage Threshold, is to instead pick up Improved Defenses, which nets you a +1 to all your defense scores.

Skill Focus (Deception) can be picked up later as a class bonus feat, so I'd strongly recommend picking your 1st level feat as something that's not on the bonus feat list.

Still tweaking! I think I may keep the Force Whore thought because honestly, she won't have the hit points to get close enough to anything to get all kung fu on it.

I'm picking up Kushiban as a language (fully aware that I won't be able to fully speak it because it supposedly involves fur color changes!), because my travel companion is a Kushiban who will be my bodyguard and "pet". She's going to wear a dress under which she hides her blaster. ;)

Irrelevant until 3rd level. Even if you took Force Sensitive at 1st level (and trained Use the Force instead of training Use Computer), she wouldn't have any Force Powers until you took the Force Training feat at 3rd level. So you'll still be relying on a blaster for at least two levels. (Yeah, this means Humans are often better with the Force, since ONLY they can have both feats at 1st level.)

Cheers, -- N

True in regards to Force Powers per se, although Use the Force does give some nifty abilities for just being trained in it. Although once she gets to 3rd level and can pick up Force Training, she'd be a pretty impressive Force-user thanks to her whopper of a Charisma bonus.

Not entirely true. In the conversion document found on the WotC home page in the Archives section, there were stat blocks listed for the Miraluka, a near-Human race that gained Force Sensitivity as a racial bonus feat, making them just as capable of having both feats at 1st level.

I wonder if this would be a bad time to make mention of a thread I read over on the GleeMax boards a while back... ah, heck with it.

In one GM's game, there was a Force-sensitive noblewoman who took the Beast Language talent (or whatever it's called, AFB at the moment) and had a pet voorpak. The fuzzy little bugger ended up being the most useful member of the group, and the player planned on boosting the critter's Intelligence to 3 when it hit 4th level so it could then multiclass into Scoundrel for the Disruptive talent. Campaign went on hiatus before that could happen, but it was funny reading the GM's frustrations with what seemed such an innocuous idea :D

Hi again!

I finally sorted out everything about Tosca and we had our first Star Wars game on Friday night. It went pretty well, tho not all of our characters have met each other yet. (We were missing one person too, who will hopefully be back next time.)

I haven't posted that day's adventure yet, but there is an introduction written by Tosca on my blog at the moment.

Thanks for all the help!
