Spoilers Star Wars: The Acolyte [Spoilers]

This type of writing disengages many viewers and confuses them.
I had forgotten about cortosis and didn't remember about it when the lightsabers shorted out on screen. I was not confused. Not even a little bit. I was intrigued about what the metal was, though. There is absolutely not one iota of confusion for folks, because not knowing what something is =/= confusion.

I did not need to know where everyone was, but it was very "plot convenience playhouse presents" (to borrow a phrase from MST3K) for Qimir to land near Bazil's location. I get that they wanted to get Pip's remains to Bazil. I predict that he will show it to Mae (as Osha) and she will be all "what do I want with that piece of junk?" and Sol will then realize that it's not Osha. But it should have been three scenes:
  1. Qimir flying over the forest and dislodging the piece of Pip off his back, but he continues to be carried off screen by the bugs.
  2. Bazil making his way through the forest back to the ship and stumbling upon the remains of Pip.
  3. Qimir extricating himself from the bugs and landing (in a different part of the forest).
After all, Qimir believed all of the people who had seen him had to die. He lands maybe 60 feet from Bazil, a non-Force user. Bazil's stealth is good, but Qimir could not sense him? It all seemed too much for the sake of scene economy.
Bazil already knows that she isn't Osha I think. When he was following after them in the ship he was sniffing the air. They may be twins, but their scents are not going to be the same.

Yep. I just rewatched the episode and she tries to arrest Mae for the murder before ever seeing the wookie dead. Plus, people are running around with his lightsaber.
Well, yeah. They were there specifically to arrest Mae for murder. She did actually murder Master Indara in front of a bunch of witnesses. So, this isn't a big surprise.

I'll admit I was totally confused. As in I thought he was damaging their lightsabers somehow. That's why my initial post talked about lightsabers growing back.

She names three Jedi dead. Not two. And without seeing the wookie die. She knew he was dead without looking.

You could see that the sabers were not physically damaged in any way, and that the blades had been shorted out somehow. All that remained to be seen was when the sabers would be fixed. It was a pleasant surprise for me that they didn't stay shorted out until some future time when the Jedi had a minute to tinker with them.

You know, not everyone agrees with you on this. Doesn't make them wrong or stupid.....I thought he was damaging the sabers at first also. As did my wife.
