Overall I enjoyed the series. I like the idea of the crystals bleeding, except for the inconstancy in Revenge of the Sith--I suppose they could release a Special Edition version that shows Anakin's saber changing color as he ignites it with the younglings and then remains red for the rest of the movie (pretty simple effects-wise I imagine). But then I guess we'd need to add a scene in the Obi Wan series of him swapping out the crystal before it gets passed to Luke... so many rabbit holes.

I don't think Anakin's changed in the Jedi Temple as he killed the kids because he was more following orders, than actually hating the kids. He did not know those kids, most likely, and was just doing his part in the Sith effort. If anything, his lightsaber should have bled to red when he was fighting Obi-Wan on Mustafar.

I value cool things and setting consistency.
Things change. Stories change. Obsessing over this level of detail just leads to unhappiness (see the angst here). Plus, there can be more than 1 way for things to happen, or not happen. Not every thing happens the same way for every person / circumstance in real life, no reason it has to in fiction.

As I said, MOST people don't care to the level you do, not even most people on these boards (when we look at your posts on flavor/fluff in dnd).......It just doesn't matter to them, and the writers should be writing for the masses (while still being consistent with the most important themes).

What writers? All of them? Is anyone allowed to write for what I want?

One of the kids knew him though, calling him by name.
Anakin's the chosen one - he's famous. Practically anyone in the temple would know him on sight.

I don't think he's either driven by hate or just following orders here - he's driven by need. Palpatine told him that he needs to become as strong as possible with the dark side to have the power to save Padme, so at this point he's basically looking for every opportunity to be as despicable as possible.

FWIW the Jedi: Survivor cutscene I shared above (in the spoiler block) shows Dagan Gera bleeding his lightsaber crystal without physically touching it, and that cutscene predates this show, so we have two of examples of how it can be done.
