Suddenly Sunday...

OK. So. Sunday is coming. The usual DM is out of town on some sort of "honeymoon" boondoggle. Dave offered last night to run a D&D game at his house Sunday afternoon. I am soooo there and I think Jason is planning on coming after work. Who else would be in?

Bourne Identity

Hey guys, since Vince is out of town until next Sunday, I am having a scaled down gaming day at my place on Sunday evening, starting between six and seven. 3.0 D&D rules.

Here’s my idea. Each PC will choose one of the following characters. You will start out with little more that this bare description, and your character waking up in a filthy cell. As the adventure progresses, you will hopefully be able to get a decent grasp on your character’s class, strengths, etc. as well as surviving the adventure. Choose wisely.

- The Scarred Man – a large, well muscled man crisscrossed with wounds of various ages, including a mean scar across his face and a bleeding ragged wound on his right forearm.

- The Haggard Lady – A thin emaciated woman with wild, unkempt graying hair dressed in clothes that once could be considered rags. Now they are little more than tatters.

- The One Armed Man – a man of medium build with short cropped hair. Other than the disgusting, pus filled stump at his right shoulder, he seems like a nice fella.

- The Mute Woman – A half-elven maiden of slight build who was once considered pretty. She is dressed in the remains of a riding outfit, though anything of value (such as boots) is long since gone. Her tongue has been cut from her mouth.

- The Thin Man – A shorter man, slightly over five feet tall and extremely thin. Every rib is visible, and his eyes seem to bulge a bit, but other than several ugly bruises, he seems to be unhurt.

- The Paunchy Man – In contrast to the Thin Man, The Paunchy Man still carries his girth with him. What’s left of his thinning hair has been burned down to the scalp.

- The Tattooed Man – A half-orc man with extraordinary tattooing over most of his arms, torso and face. One of his outgrown incisors is cracked, giving him appearance to be smiling, which is clearly not the case if you look closer.

- The Hairy Man – A large mane of tangled hair and bushy beard is only the beginning. Some of the characters still wear bits of clothing. The Hairy Man does not, and he seems to take a certain pride in his nakedness.

I will email out directions to my place later in the week to anyone who is interested. Also, Thormagni, could you please direct anyone from your Monday group who would not normally see this to pop by and sneak a peek.

Thanks!

Me please.

I think I like him.

Hey guys... Sorry for the late notice. I can't make it today. Hopefully, the elven lass will still be an option when we play these characters again. =)

Have fun.

Well, they fought valiantly. And rolled poorly. Really poorly. But I think that everyone had fun and it was a nice diversion for the night.

Man, did I ever roll poorly. I had the absolute worst string of bad die rolls I have ever had. Maybe that ANYONE has ever had. 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, rinse, repeat!

But yes, I had a ball. I can live with the knowledge that someday the tattooed man may yet escape the horrors of that dungeon. After he recovers from his near-lethal injuries!

suddenly sunday

I had a blast as well! We'll definately have to do that again. Hopefully The Tattooed Man can get his dice under control! :D

I have a feeling The Scarred Man will try to escape yet again (with a few more scars I'm afraid)! Maybe with the help of a few more companions we'll be able to figure out the secrets of this dungeon keep.
