I can't find who originally suggested this, but it is posible to top the troll:

The half-dragon (green/copper) laernan pyro-hydra is immune to everything except death-magic, even subdual damage (which is the achilles heel of the above troll).

Can't you still chop off its heads?

Well, you can, but unless you apply fire or acid damage to the stump, two new heads grow out.

And it is immune to fire (pyrohydra) and acid (half-dragon), so it is kindof hard to do that. Thus only death magic can touch this guy. It hasn't that good saves (Fort in the range +10 to +14, depending on number of heads), so its definitely possible to kill it this way.

But if you slap on axiomatic, awaken it, take a few levels in barbarian and then forsaker, *then* it gets really hard to kill it (SR45).

What shall we do with a raging hydra?

If there is a "most dangerous creature to use harm on" hydra's generally rule that category.

5-12 attacks of opportunity for crossing my threatened area (possibly another 5-12 thanks to combat reflexes if the cleric is mentally addled and forgets to cast defensively once he gets up there).

Negative levels.
Force damage.
Harm + Inflict Wounds (hooray!).

There's still a few ways round it.

Om the "normal" half-dragon laernan pyrohydra this would indeed work, but a simple destruction or slay living is much simpler, you can easily make it miss its fortitude save with a bit of buffing.

On the awakened forsaker you'll have to beat SR45. That is pretty much impossible with an unsmacked character. Now if you could find a death spell without SR....
