Super Fey!!! Half fey pixie warlock?

Empath Negative

First Post
Ive been mulling the benefits of stacking various fey benefits and making a super fey character.

The icky part is the loss of six character levels and a bunxh of crap fey heritage feats.

At ecl 20 with lvl buyoff you would be a 15th lvl warlock. +10 cha and dex, 21 dr/cold iron, greater inviso, sr 30, flight.. Etc etc.

Think this would be a viable charagter?

Hmm... while this might work mechanically and by the rules as is, as a DM I would not allow a Pixie (or any other fey creature) to take the half-fey, unseelie-fey, or any other template that changes type to fey.

How is a Pixie, who is already a fey creature, suppose to be both fey, and half-fey? I don't like it.

150%!

Perhaps by having a non-pixie parent. If a Pixie and a Dryad, for example, had a baby, the child would not be 100% Pixie, it would be a Half Pixie, half (other Fey). This template would allow for RP racial diversity.

At 20th, maybe. At 7th? Not so much.

At 7th level it'd be kinda like russian roullette. Sure you've got 6 hp... but you've also got 10/cold iron, greater inviso, and 16 SR. So if most creatures are going to attack you they're going to have to attack a point in the sky they can only guess at... and even if they hit youthere's a strong chance that they won't deal any significant damage.

"It's Better to Burn out then to Fade away!"
You'd do a bunch of really cool things, and then Pop once that one solid hit connects!

Perhaps, but then you would have to work out which abilities you'd end up having, cutting some away from Pixie and added others from Dryad. As is though, stacking the Half-Fey template a Pixie is like adding the Half-Minotaur template to a Minotaur...

[One], it doesn't make sense, and [two] it increases the 'racial' abilities (the point behind the 'Half' templates) of those races incredibly over what normal versions of that race would have. If you want a stronger Mino, get the Feral template, or if you want a stronger Pixie, try out the Phrenic template (awesome if playing psionic/magic transparency as the Power Resistance become Power/Spell resistance, you get awesome psionic-like powers, and you get a nice +4 Cha boost).

I just don't see a Pixie becoming even more fey. But that is me, and I wouldn't allow it. If this works for the OP and his DM though, then more power to him (figuratively and literally I guess lol).
