Trailer Superman Teaser Trailer

It's tedious for some of us. But we can't really have actual heroes anymore I guess. The Jedi and Superman.... Just other people we don't like because they're different or flawed. I miss the innocence of having actual heroes
What do you mean regarding Superman in this case. There is no indication that he did anything suspect, just that someone has manipulated the public against him. You are jumping to conclusions with very little evidence.

Im expressing feelings about how we can't just have shows where people aren't that way, that we can't just have heroes that people look up to. Realism is I'm so our shows now. Which, maybe I feel like I want one where that isn't how it is. Just one. Realism sucks, I don't need it in every story anymore. I jumped to zero conclusions.

I remember Superman comics in the 60s constantly being about how Superman seemingly turned “bad”, or Jimmy Olsen was now a Greek God who would kick sand in Superman’s face, or the public had turned against him because Mr. Myxylplk or Luthor tricked them. This has been part and parcel of the character for a long time.

I think the Rock as Black Adam was great casting, but his ego got in the way of what could have been a good movie. His insistence that he doesn't lose a fight makes him a terrible choice for a villain, and Black Adam is absolutely a villain, even if a complex one with sometimes heroic (or antiheroic) tendencies.
Dwayne is an obvious shoe-in for a superhero, but this character, as written, called for an actor capable of a far more nuanced and complex performance.

I caught up with this movie on streaming a couple of weeks ago, and it isn't terrible. It clearly presupposes a world where superheroes are an established feature, so it suffered because the previous DCU movies had all failed to establish that. Had it been set in the MCU, the introduction of a squad of B team heroes wouldn't have raised an eyebrow. Here, they were a mixed bag. Doctor Fate was great: a good actor, a familiar archetype (Doctor Strange knockoff) meant they didn't need much explanation, and they managed to work in some backstory anyway. Hawkman was okay: a good a actor (but underutilised - give Aldus some more snappy one-liners for goodness sake!), an outlandish costume meant his archetype was not recognisable to non-comic fans, so we didn't know what his powers and motivation were. The others were poor: bland actors playing poorly defined and dull characters.

Love the teaser, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner should be interesting lol Hopefully, he acts swarmy enough for me to forget he was Hal Jordan for multiple DC Animated films. It'd be funny if in a future JSA movie, Batman just decks him and Guy doesn't reappear until the end of the film.

That was my only issue with Fate in Black Adam. He's much more powerful than Doctor Strange (and Black Adam, for that matter), but they really dialed back his power in the film. I mean, I get that they had to (after all, the name of the film is Black Adam). Brosnan still did great within those limitations, though, and that line about fate not making mistakes was probably the best part of the entire film. Perfect.

What is it with hawkman/girl anyway? They often seem to appear in a supporting role, but never seem to get much explanation or character development. Black Adam came closest, but I still don’t really know the nature of his powers or what makes him tick.

“I got wings, a wacky costume and I hit stuff with a mace” is a bit short change as a character.

Its because, in some ways, Superman's interaction with the public has always been his vulnerable place in a greater way than kryptonite or red sun rays ever were. He doesn't do things for adulation, but its still one of the things that keeps him going, knowing he's done good things for good people.
