SW: Galactic Republic IC

As the channel fizzles to life a fuzzy voice comes through between turbolaser fire
"This is Pearly Haven, you might want to avoid that station as it seems to be a bit hostile..." This is said just as a shot from the station shakes your ship. Luckily thanks to the captains quick manuevers what would have been a direct hit destroying your ship is instead a glancing blow that knocks out your engines, completely destroying the Hyperdrive.
The Imperial ship, "Pearly Haven", turns around and starts firing on one of the Turbolasers, eventually slagging it as you drop, loosing contorl, into the gravity well of the station, being drawn in now that your engines are nearly dead. There are several landing spots you can try for, or you can try to escape the gravity well.. But you'ld still be stranded in deep space with no hyperdrive...

"Nicely done, Captain" Oothar intones as he quickly assesses the situation. "I would suggest that we try and get away from this station, though. Given their hostile nature, I expect we would not last long if we docked there. Should I send out a distress signal or should we see what we can do to repair the ship?"

"We should contact the Imperial Ship. They might be our only way out of here, and we've not carrying Republic insignia." He sizes up the three Jedi. "You might want to borrow some of my clothes if we do that. Your robes mark you out somewhat."

"I do not agree, Ambassador," Oothar says as he helps Wepps at the helm. "The era of the Rebellion was one of hiding, but not now. They will help us or not, but I will not hide from them."

OOC: I don't know how but we knew that they were Imperial, so I think there's a good chance that they know we are from the Republic.

"Perhaps you are right, my friend. Let's put a bold face on this. As you say, the days of hiding are past. Captain, may I contact the Imperials?"

If given permission, he opens a com-channel to the Pearly Haven, and begins to speak.

"I'm Ambassador Garek Valmar of the New Republic. Our hyperdrive has been severely damaged, and we could do with some help. Any chance of a lift?"

The message is sent but there is no reply. Either they didn't get it, or they are ignoring it.

As you try to wheel the ship around to get out of range some of the other turbolasers that just came online start firing at you. With quick reflexes and excellent piloting skill you are able to avoid the most of them, taking a few minor scratches to the hull that do little more than shake the ship. But one of them blasts a hole right through the hull, in the back half of the ship... Warnnig signs start flaring all over the ship as you see the Imperials heading down towards the surface of the station, the lasers having a harder time tracking them as they get closer to the docking port they're aiming at.

Meanwhile you, too, are heading for a docking port... Just not of your own choice. IT's obvious by all the shorted systems and warning lights that even if you manage to land in one piece this ship is done for... Maybe the imperials will be giving you a lift after all.

OOC: Sorry guys, I'm not TRYING to railroad you, but the ships got like 10 HP left (And for a ship with hundreds that's SO not good). Hyperdrive is gone, most of the rest of the ship is depressurized (Except where you guys are right now), and sublight engines are at 10% power.

EDIT: As to how you knew they were Imps.. All ships have transponder codes, and nobody turned theirs off or disguised them which means any time you get on someones sensors it automatically tells them "Imperial" "Republic" "Etc". It's how they flag ships as friendlies, unfriendlies, and unknowns during battles.

"It seems neither of us was correct, Ambassador," Oothar says as he routes as power as he can to life support. "Let's get as much survival gear together as we can and prepare to board or be boarded. Brasa, will you take point?"

"Yousa no havin' ta worry, Oothar," the Gungan replied. "Meesa be keepin' de sharp eye out."
