There are no mechanics for the races in this book, which I find odd, specifically in regards to the new Mixed ancestries, which get vague rules about just combining features.
Inteeeeeeresting. So, for the Races in this book, you're stuck with their stat write ups in the official WoTC books and this kinda proves my guess that Elemental Ancestry and Half-Giant are basically the book's stand ins for Genasi and Goliath.

In regards to the Mixed Ancestries, you pretty much choose features. So an Elf-Dragonblood would pretty much, going by that, have/homebrewed to have Trance/Fey Ancestry and Breath Weapon. So the book is legit encouraging Homebrewing races basically.

Hmmm, shame it doesn't go further than that since it brings up such "rules" or ideas.
