Tell Me About Dragonstar

For those interested in Dragonstar my site remains to this day the number one fan resource for DS material (FFG's words not mine), including my N.C.S.C.Rules for constructing ships and modifying them, everything from a crewless remote upto a sprawling station in space. Within those rules are 10 other alternatives to Starcasting.

Your N.C.S.C. rules look good enough for a Space Opera Campaign I have in mind.

It's about time I see a familiar face!!!

Hey Neo,
What took you so long to respond to this posting about Dragonstar? I was trying to look for familiar faces from the old forums for Dragonstar. We all need to band together and get a growing support back for Dragonstar again, so Fantasy Flight games will see we as supporters want more product out for a really good system, one book a year just won't cut it for the system.
Future projects for Dragonstar will be the release of the Dwarven Mafia and necromantic spacestations for the universe along with Dragonians that don't corrode ships and verything nice. I'm also into everyone elses ideas as well like everything that Neo has written up and was able to download. I really recommend Neo's stuff top-notch, I just wished he don't stop writing stuff up on Dragonstar though. Dwarven Godfather

Heya godfather ;) good to hear from you again.

I tend to read most topics related to Dragonstar as its interesting to see what others think... i think the setting deserves a 2.0 hardcover Starfarers and Guide to the Galaxy combines and revised (3.5 updated) personally... follow it up with a new Dragonstar monster manual and you could colour me happy :) but i suspect FFG probably have plans and other lines in development these days, and tend to produce what you need to play and move on to the next lines, and to be honest thats worked really well for them in some ways as everything they make is fresh and original and top notch quality, but it does tend to leave folks wanting more a lot of the time, myself included :)

A version 2 of my ship rules is in the works, which is in planning stages atm on the ncscr@yahoogroups.com list, but will be generic enough to apply to any sci fi setting once its done. So I am still doing some Dragonstar inspired if not directly related work still.

If you are interested in Dragonstar I would also recommend the books Arsenal and Factory. Both have a magical based technology that would easily fit into the DS setting.

Cool, but right now I don't really want to spend additional money on the 3.5 rules for WOTC products even though I have spent alittle bit of money on some the new stuff and future supplements like Races of Stone coming out in a couple of months, but as for the main books, I downloaded the stuff from WOTC website and have access to 3.5 books, but not the money. Now hearing that 4.0 will be out in two years.
I think what Fantasy Flight should have done was make all the books that was talked about for the system, just like what they are doing for their other systems. I know there was talks of the Throne Worlds book and others in the planning that we have talked about at their forum section, but nothing is in the works now.
