Spice for pumpkin pies:
Why is it in my coffee?
What is the big deal?

I rant on TikTok
from the cab of my white truck,
I mock it on X,

Because I am cool.
I have my image to keep,
I am not "basic."

I like my coffee
like I like my women, ha
Is that joke still cool?

I'll go to Starbucks
and show them all the proper
way to drink coffee.

Might as well try one.

I take a sip and
my mind explodes in fractal patterns of gold yellow brown and red all spinning in the air around me like maple leaves at summer's end the sweet spices and the frothy warm milk all balance the bitter richness of the espresso so perfectly oh my God how have I gone so long without this what kind of boring half-assed coffee bulls##t have I been drinking all these years when I could have been drinking this who was the genius who discovered pumpkin spices in a latte oh marry me sweet barista yes I know you're already married and so am I but I'm pretty sure they will both understand once they too have tasted this ambrosia this elixir oh heaven on earth oh heaven in a paper cup
