The Crux of the Matter

(I figured it was more likely to be an aftereffect of Guile's earlier attack. She was quite guileful, after all ;). But even if that's the case, a hugged Eve should be more useful to use, especially as Eve is holding a charge.)
(OOC: Correct on both counts ;))

(OOC: Well, Lust did clutch at that dagger wound from several rounds back before she dropped--it stands to reason that Guile wouldn't have risked sacrificing herself with a readied action to attack whoever passed through the door just to deliver a sneak attack that would deal slight damage to one of them, right? ;) Frankly, it seems she was probably readying to attack whoever went through the doorway in hopes of catching Sin, but Vanitri brought Lust through first. Also, do recall that she cuddled up with Eve, Lust, and Vanitri before without ill effect.

However, I think you don't have to worry about Guile sensing your motive ;))

OOC: I knew I was missing something... well, too bad, anyway, against so many casters and only a non-magical weapon, I think it is wiser not to go into melee for now. And if Guile like him, it is better than having him trying to kill him.

Vanitri is right by Eve? Can he get off a dual strike? or does he have to move to far to get to her?

(OOC: She is ten feet from Vanitri--Vanitri is by Ashna who is by Laynie who is by Eve)

(OOC: Because the transformed Guile is a vicious killer? Are we reading the same thread? )

Nope, but if Rinaldo is in too much trouble, he might finally see that there is a fight and help Rinaldo... but after what happen to Lust and his reaction, I think I'll hope for something else first... Greed, Pride... there must be a way to turn them against each other ...

OOC: Ok, now I'm lost as to which ones are which. Eve is one of the ones we're fighting, right? (Sorry, too many named aspects floating around).

(OOC: Technically, Rinaldo hasn't taken his action yet, since Bluffing by just lying with words is just something you can do whenever you talk. He could, I suppose, try to Diplomacy with the penalty or do some other thing to trick the others--unlike Ashna, he actually has substantial Charisma skills, so he has a better chance to be able to momentarily do something until Eve explicitly asserts control. Barring that, he can always attack or even just take full defense (though attacking with Combat Expertise and fighting defensively gives more AC than full defense anyway))

(Well, excuse me and my +6 Bluff for not being a rogue. :p And I'll maintain that Ashna did not lie in her talks. She said the truth... from a certain perspective. ;))

Bah, she is.

Vanitri will step forward and strike at Eve cautiously.

OOC: Dodging Eve and fighting defensively. He'll strike with Morning's blade, just in case she's weak against that kind of thing.

(OOC:

List of Aspects Known--

Elpis (Hope) /Spira (Inspiration) /Mo (Motherhood) /Etc: Gone--involved with the exodus of Laynie and the seals

Xu (Exuberance): Formerly something meaningful to Joy, now a wraith

Envy--A wraith who attacked you while you all had weird emotional eddies

Guile--A somewhat sarcastic-seeming aspect, she proved more selfless than she seemed when she sacrificed herself just a few rounds ago to try to save Laynie, even though she could have just remained in hiding. She is an id nymph as of a few rounds ago.

Termina (Determination)--A stubborn and loyal aspect who hid with Guile and the others. Presumed to be still in the extradimensional pocket. One of Termina, Senex, or Joy is presumed to be the spy Eve mentioned, since it probably can't be Guile.

Joy--A happy-go-lucky aspect who hid with Guile and the others. Presumed to be still in the extradimensional pocket. One of Termina, Senex, or Joy is presumed to be the spy Eve mentioned, since it probably can't be Guile.

Senex--A wise old man aspect who hid with Guile and the others. Presumed to be still in the extradimensional pocket. One of Termina, Senex, or Joy is presumed to be the spy Eve mentioned, since it probably can't be Guile.

Fuge--Mentioned once by Guile as someone for whom to get revenge. Presumably of some relationship to Guile but turned into a wraith by Eve

Pride--An arrogant wraith in combat with the party right now

Greed--An avaricious wraith in combat with the party right now

Lust--Formerly a sweet and gentle aspect named Love, Lust has the power to drive men mad with love and lust for her, at which point they will do anything for her. She seems far less violent than the other wraiths and is generally derided for the almost loving way she treats her victims and the id nymphs. Presumed dead from Guile's attack.

Eve--The second-in-command of the wraiths and the first wraith created by Sin. Since Sin was locked up, Eve was in charge of the wraiths for a long time.

Sin--The most powerful remaining fragment, aspect or wraith, Sin considers herself to be Elayna Valsice, not merely an aspect or wraith, and acts accordingly, claiming Elayna's best set of clothes and items, as well as her plush living quarters, for herself. In reality, Sin is a reflection of the darkest and most twisted aspects of Elayna's soul, far more evil than the actual woman ever was because of the lack of anything redeeming, and certainly much more evil than Elayna Valsice was at the time of the accident (Elayna had managed to shift to Neutral, which was a shame because she couldn't wear that dress/robe any more, which was why she was working on it in her lab to fix it up).

Did I miss any?)
