The Crux of the Matter

(OOC: It takes a full turn to finish (full-round action to activate, then a round to dissipate), and I thought I had her delay to hide behind you last turn, but it doesn't matter because you can just redelay to go after her again--you guys were tied in initiative to start anyway, but she broke the tie with higher Dex. The Silence will indeed be gone after 10' behind the seal though.)

(OK, action time - If Ashna is by the seal, she'll enter full defense for now. If not, she withdraws from the armed and dangerous "gentlemen" towards the seal, avoiding AoOs)

(OOC: Last round Ashna went with Laynie to the seal, so she is indeed by the seal)

*Ashna enters total defense. Meanwhile, Laynie places her palm on the seal, and it flashes blue and begins to flicker and dissipate--the seal will be gone in a few seconds.*

*The former Guile is sad that Vanitri ran away, and Eve seems to be avoiding her too, so she turns to Lust, who is still next to her, and decides to cuddle up with her. Lust begins to pet the id nymph absently, but then suddenly, Lust begins to spasm, and she reaches down and clutches the dagger wound in utter agony before collapsing to the ground, still. As Rinaldo, Hogarth, and Vanitri's hearts leap into their throats and are crushed in the deepest and most depressing heartbreak they have ever felt in their lives, suddenly, over the course of a few seconds, that anguish melts away, as does Love's hold over them--they still have lingering fond and loving feelings towards her, but they are no longer bound by those as they once were, and Rinaldo finds his memories and feelings for Valeria slowly returning to the fore. The id nymph that was once once Guile is deeply saddened by this turn of events, quite ironically considering the situation, and her eyes begin to tear up as she moves towards the seal where Vanitri and Eve are, looking towards both of them with her cute big doe-eyed adoring gaze.*

(OOC: Okay, now it is Vanitri, Rinaldo, and Hogarth, and they can do as they wish now.)

(OOC: It wasn't a spell ;) You probably noticed, but in addition to a certain amount of Wizard levels inherited from Elayna, all the Wraiths made by Sin have a special ability of some sort. Actually, now that the Dispel has already been used up, those abilities are Supernatural)

Rinaldo, once understanding what has happen, he looks at Hogarth and make a quick sign. Hogarth concentrate and a moment later, the zone of silence is gone. Rinaldo see the former Guile moving toward Eve.

"Guile, Eve is your mother. As all mother, she loves you. But she is shy, just show her you love her by giving her a big hugs. She loves that, she's just too shy to tell it." tells Rinaldo before turning back his attention to Ashnar, winking at him. He then whispers to himself. "I hope it will works."

[SBLOCK=OOC]If I understand well, it is Guile's hug that killed Lust. Rinaldo hopes to use Guile as a weapon against Eve, hoping his hug can kill her. I suppose all that is a Bluff roll: 16 *sigh* I hope Guile have no sense motive and my theory is good.

Hogarth dismiss the zone of silence.[/SBLOCK]

(I did notice. Ashna simply thought 'spells' for brevity's sake. ;) (She always did tend to only say brief sentences/commands/etc in combat until this one, and here she had a good reason to "babble", it just didn't work out (If only those aspects were more prone to appeals to their major ..err.. aspects! (That's assuming the other that exhibited an exaggarated trait was indeed Greed (or something close at least (I'm kind of feel like I'm abusing parentheses here)))) Envy apparently had some sort of "Assume Special Quality" ability. I'm not sure if it was limited to the wraiths, though. I'd have figured that every aspect may have such an ability.)

(OOC: Well, Lust did clutch at that dagger wound from several rounds back before she dropped--it stands to reason that Guile wouldn't have risked sacrificing herself with a readied action to attack whoever passed through the door just to deliver a sneak attack that would deal slight damage to one of them, right? ;) Frankly, it seems she was probably readying to attack whoever went through the doorway in hopes of catching Sin, but Vanitri brought Lust through first. Also, do recall that she cuddled up with Eve, Lust, and Vanitri before without ill effect.

However, I think you don't have to worry about Guile sensing your motive ;))

*The former Guile looks at Rinaldo. She shows no sign of understanding any of the words he just said, including the name 'Guile', but she can tell that he is directing them towards her in a soothing friendly sounding voice, so she decides that she likes Rinaldo, turning to give him a big smile.*

(I figured it was more likely to be an aftereffect of Guile's earlier attack. She was quite guileful, after all ;). But even if that's the case, a hugged Eve should be more useful to use, especially as Eve is holding a charge.)

(OOC: The aspects do have abilities, but they tend to be muted or represent thought and dedication (perhaps in the form of class levels or class abilities), while the wraiths made by Sin (not the ones made by Eve though) have abilities that are disjointed and violent (general a supernatural ability) granted to them by Sin (whose ability is to give others abilities!). As to appealing to their aspects, if you had knocked out Eve, you could have gotten them to devolve into interfighting pretty quickly, but Ashna's low ability with Cha-based skills combined with Eve's ability to command the loyalty of other wraiths in her presence is pretty much a done deal (you did see how Envy went against what Eve would have wanted when she heard about you guys from Xu before Eve could give an order, though). The only one who's liable to go off the deep end and blow things up is one of the two you haven't even addressed yet, but that's possibly because she's one of the two who hasn't spoken yet. Yes, the greedy one is greed ;) You fought Envy, and Lust just went down, plus you know about Pride and Greed, Eve and Sin, and there's two more here.)
