Damned... Rinaldo has not yet 9 HD... but if Laynie cannot see Rinaldo, he will not be affected by the spell, as it is a burst, not an emanation... at condition it is a circle of death... and at the condition Laynie survive to that moment...

Hearing (and understanding, thankfully) Hogarth's warning to Rinaldo, Tenny utters a momentary, Oh no! to herself before flitting back down to the edge of the curving staircase (hopefully just a regular move). Seeing Laynie about to cast a spell, she says, "Laynie, no! please don't."

Tenny of course has no idea why Laynie is attacking Vanitri, her best friend. Tenebrynn will ready to cast the last offensive spell she has (sparkstrike) at Laynie, if Laynie tries to cast a spell.
