The Crux of the Matter

OOC: Um, we need to slow down, Vanitri wouldn't have let Rinaldo go alone, out of guilt for now 2 dead because of him, and for knowing Elayna better than anyone else here. Unfortunately, that now seems impossable :(

OOC: Rinaldo is the silver tongue of the group, and he would have protested to let more than one person go see Sin. Let's just say Rinaldo have persuaded Vanitri not to come.

(OOC: True, and Sin only wants to talk to one person)

"At that moment, we didn't even knew the Crux exist, so we were far from wanting it to be destoryed. And our first contact was with Xu and then Envy. All we know about that moment, it is that tower was a cursed place and could be dangerous and it had to be neutralized... but whoever start that whole thing, it won't change where we are now."

"Ah, then you refer to a previous incident. Eve?"

"That was Envy...she was working alone and against orders, and for that she has been disciplined. We did not wish to harm you, at least until you decided to destroy the Crux and us with it."

"Fine, but one last thing. And what will happen to Laynie... or if you prefer, Elpis?"

"I shall use the body as long as I must until I can find a way to have my own back--I much prefer being me. At that point, she will be free to do as she chooses, though I hope that my daughter Laynie will follow in the family trade and become a Wizard--I left a big scholarship at the Academy that is set to select her if she ever applies."

[SBLOCK=OOC]Rinaldo doesn't know if she will actually succeed, particularly since she admitted that she isn't sure if it will work to get Ashna and Hogarth back by reverting them in time to before they were dead, but he believes that she means to at least give it a try.[/SBLOCK]

OOC: Didn't I earn that one?

"Fine." Rinaldo takes Hogarth's body and carry it back.

[SBLOCK=OOC]So, Rinaldo have not feel that Sin have been lying to him on all the line.[/SBLOCK]

Once up there, Rinaldo talks to the others about his discussion with Sin.

Rinaldo is sitting at the edge of the room, looking at the corpse of Hogarth. "Vanitri, you should take the wand of healing and heal yourself, you'll need it, wathever we decide."

Rinaldo eyes seems to fix something in the air. "Sin has been successful... she put doubt in me. She looks trustable when she spoke to me. And all she told made sense. If we destroy the Crux, who knows what would happen. We might end destroying the whole region. She would remove the tower safely she told, and bring back Ashnar and Hogarth to life... Hogarth, what have I done to you. I saved your life back there in the cave beneath the island, only to sacrifice your soul to the hand of the most powerfull wizard I've ever seen. Now, your chance to rest by your god are in our hands..."

Rinaldo looks at Tenebrynn. "How are you? Is your curse stable?"

(OOC: Tenebrynn's curse is not stable, but Tenny has enough Charisma and bonuses to Cha checks to keep it under control easily

This was mostly just a bump for Vanitri or Tenny to speak up, since it looks like we're waiting for you two)

OOC: On the six that enter the tower, one is dead, one have his soul capture, one is cursed and can lose his soul too, on have dissapear, one is barely alive and one is healthy... Yeap, I want to discuss with the present and living ones, so we can choose the best option (one that would allow to have everyone living for a next adventure...)
