The Crux of the Matter

Ashna simply gives a short nod and bow to the last comment, realizing that any further words are unnecessary, since she has given an honest opinion. Now she meets with Hogarth and Vanitri.

(and to amend the previous question, she of course also asks who that new elf is, presumably learning her to be Hogarth.)

If they are actually in the room with the Crux, Ashna, from a safe distance, takes an academic look at it. She does not, and will not, take any offensive action against it aware of the probable consequences for Rinaldo.

*The Crux itself is in the centre of a large room covered in runes, sigils, and other protective and non-protective magical symbols and devices. It is a massive crystal of condensed...something--perhaps even condensed time! It shines brightly and gives off tantalising glimmers from this distance.*

"The best answer I can give you is the Crux ate her. I've been loath to explore it much further given the situation." Vanitri says, somewhat suprised by the return of Ashna. "Good to see you not dead my friend. Sorry 'bout that."
"I see." Ashna replies with regards to Tenebrynn's fate. She first gives Vanitri a quizzed look about the death thing, but then realizes what he refers to. "So Greed is capable of tactile essential feedback drain. I should have considered that possibility, rather than assuming essential feedback drain on manaphorous basis. You couldn't know."

"I see Sin... have respected... her word... I... hope Rinaldo... is fine." tells Hogarth, with more difficulty then he had in his old form. "Rinaldo told... Tenebrynn... vanish... when he was... close... to the Crux."

"Still, the results left something to be desired," Vanitri says. "'least I got greed too."

"Oh, and Hogarth, if I do say so myself, you look quite nice in your new form," Vanitri says with a wink and a grin.

"One more reason not to get too close to the Crux." Ashna replies to Hogarth's earlier statement, studying the object from afar (I don't suppose Knowledge checks help here?). As Vanitri makes his quip, she replies "This Tower certainly doesn't keep people in 'shape'. I'm still getting used to my own change as well. Not to mention that I feel as if Lady Valsice's magic rejuvenated me again. A bit hard to tell, though, as you can guess." She gives a sideward glance to the ID nymph formerly known as Guile.

(OOC: Knowledge checks help, sort of, but she didn't roll high enough to know about such a phenomenon off-hand (no surprise, since it seems to be completely unique), and she isn't close enough to examine it and use Knowledge to understand what she sees during the examine (combined Search + Knowledge/Spellcraft). Hey, who knows--maybe it won't eat her if she has no intention of harming it ;)

As for the former Guile, if Vanitri hasn't ousted her, she's trying to sit in his lap and be hugged. She's in her imprinting stage, so she craves physical contact and affection ;))

OOC: Why do I have an immage of Vanitri teaching Guile to sit up, roll over, beg, and play dead?
(OOC: Hey, he can try if he wants--her intelligence is approximately similar to that of a common animal, and animals can be taught tricks ;))
