*Sin meets him immediately at the front of the tower.*

"Very good, Rinaldo dear. I knew I could trust you on this matter. From the looks of the girl, it seems you even told her the truth. Gutsy, I must say."

*She turns to Laynie with a warm smile.*

"Come now, little one. Don't you want to help your Mommy? You know I will always love you, Laynie, no matter what."

*Laynie nods mutely.*

"Good, I'm glad. Now, Mommy needs to borrow your body for a little while. Let's all come upstairs to my room."

*Sin leads the two of them upstairs towards her chambers. Of course, as they go, they will eventually pass by the closest point to the Crux-barrier stairway.*

(OOC: Let me know when he sends the reply message, and I'll roll surprise for the following events to see who gets the surprise round--it will be at least Rinaldo, but maybe also Sin if she rolls well)

Before he enters the tower, Rinaldo asks Sin. "Did you took the time to see what you could do for Ashnar? I had left his body to you. And have you start to search for the other aspects?"

He then starts to follow Sin, talking to her on the way up.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Yes Rinaldo will sent the message when he will be at the closest point of the safety zone.[/SBLOCK]

"Not only is Ashnar alive, but also, in a twist that would delight any woman as much as the resurrection, she was given back more of her youthful vigour, as her body is now a few years younger. As for the Aspects, could you let me know how you accessed their secret hideaway? They've no doubt changed it, but if it still works, then I can go meet with them."

~~~
*When Rinaldo is closest to the stairway (~90 feet to the barrier, though it takes more than that to get out of sight, such as his crazy and cool on the walls sprint manoeuvre last time), he sends the message response.*
"Ah, I'm glad this worked out without anyone being left for dead. I'm looking forward to--"
*Sin is cut off as her name is called it a loud, challenging tone--*
"Elayna!"
*Rayne Liore appears to face her, fully bedecked with powerful magical robes, eldritch jewelry, and even a hand-held platinum staff with a huge sapphire, her hands crackling with power as nine deadly miniature bolts of lightning shoot forth to rain down on Sin. In between Rayne's appearance and the attack, Elektra dashes out from behind Rayne, grabs Laynie, and starts to make a run for the barrier area. Rinaldo notes that Elektra is moving at incredible speed, as if affected by more than one magical spell that enhances such speed. He can tell because she actually reaches the barrier during the brief surprise time. Rinaldo, on the other hand, can only get 1/3rd of the way there.*
"Rayne?" Sin gasps, "You..."
*Only one of the nine lightning bolts miss their mark, as Sin is caught flat-footed by the attack. She staggers, and falls to the ground, vanishing in an explosion of black flame.*
(OOC: 143 damage)
"I can't believe I...!"
*There is a soft clapping sound, and Sin shimmers into appearance a short distance away from where she seemed to perish.*
"Oh, congratulations...you pathetic halfbreed wretch. You managed to kill a completely false image."
"B...but...but I had up True Seeing!"
"Hmmph. A mongrel pup who suckled on Daryne's pap should know that True Seeing is not infallibe when the mage herself is weak. Now away, you--I don't have time to deal with your stupidity. I need to stop your little sneak from spiriting away Elpis--Rinaldo, you traitor! Your soul is mine!--before she gets too far away, I'll just block her with a wall...On the other hand, I do think we need a new kitten named Rayne...I'll take care of you with a quickie--"
*She waves her hand and directs her magicks to transform Rayne into a kitten. However, a magical protective barrier around Rayne flares up, deflects the dweomer back towards Sin, and then disappears.*
"Oh damn it! No one can resist my transmutation spells, so..."
*Sin turns into a cute little kitten. She immediately dismisses the spell and turns back, but that takes her effort, so she cannot cast another spell to block Elektra, Laynie, and Rinaldo. She still moves closer to get a better angle.*
(OOC: Rinaldo's turn--he's 60 feet away from the stairs, and if he does the crazy run-along-the-walls thing, he'll be able to make it out of sight from Sin's current spot unless Sin moves to a better position to see him)
Rinaldo grabs Laynie and repeat the feat he had done last time with Ashnar, but while doing so, he shouts out of his lung. "Vanitri! Destroy the Crux!"
[SBLOCK=OOC]Rinaldo will run again on the wall. Do I need to do any roll?[/SBLOCK]
(OOC: Rinaldo cannot grab Laynie because Elektra already grabbed her and moved 90 feet during the surprise round (as opposed to Rinaldo's 30). Rinaldo should make a Tumble check to see if he takes minor damage, but otherwise he's fine)
*Rinaldo runs up and tumbles, possibly getting a bit scraped, and runs up along the walls. He thinks he is probably too far for Vanitri to hear more than a ghostly hollow echoing voice. Elektra decides that this is a brilliant idea and follows suit, but she increased her speed magically, so she moves three-hundred sixty feet along the wall to Rinaldo's sixty (he spend sixty feet getting there), so she makes it to the top.*
"Hey Vanitri! The Crux! We have to destroy it!"
*Rayne waves to Sin.*
"Bye Elayna. Nice chatting with you, but I think it's time to get to the Crux of the Matter."
*With that, she Dimension Doors up near to the Crux room as well--it is impossible to go directly inside.*
"Alright, I should be able to handle this Crux. Point me to it."
