The Crux of the Matter

"Hey, I try to read that book, so if you could discuss elsewhere and young girl, I can't read every language and I have no complex with that, I know more than my share of language and I continue to learn some, it is good for business, and I can understand some part of the one I don't understand.

And if you dare to insult my children another time, I'll make it regret to you."
tells Rinaldo, angry about Laynie.

Hogarth seems confuse and turns toward Tenebrynn, not knowing what is happening and trying to find someone who could od something.

As Hogarth looks over to see Tenebrynn in the corner, his eyes welling up with tears. He just cant hold it in seeing Hogarth's puzzled expresson and starts laughing out loud. "You should see your face." he says leaving poor Hogarth as confused as ever.

[sblock=ooc]Sorry for the absence there, back now.[/sblock]
[sblock=RA]Does Tenebrynn know he was affected by something? He'll find that amusing and will probably try and bring someone in on the joke.[/sblock]

Ashnar backs away further, his hand slowly moving to one of his daggers. "What is there to laugh about, Tenebrynn?" he asks suspiciously. "Why would you burst out in laughter?"

"Because he's a moron, probably, or maybe a lunatic, or just immature...when a little kid tells you you're being immature, you know you've hit rock bottom."

"Then again, maybe he's laughing at Rinaldo and his 'Oh, don't talk about my family like that or you'll regret it' antics."

"Well, who knows. They say that sometimes people go mad out of the blue who seem perfectly normal before. Some philosophers even tried to connect the unexpected shifts to the influence of the cycle of the moon, hence lunatics."

"Aw you missed Hogarth's look." Tenebrynn says in mock sadness. At the mention of lunatics, he cracks up again. "Some philosophers indeed. Thats just nutty that is." he laughs again.

"Ashnar... calm down. You are a... cautious man... but... now... you are... becoming... paranoiac" tells Hogarth, searching hsi word, but an almost pleading tone

"We didn't ask your opinion, Hogarth" cuts Rinaldo "and you are all doing too much noise, I want to read that book, miss know-it-all suggested there something hidden in that one. She might be pretentious but she seldom got some idea out of her young head. So, just keep quiet everyone till I find what is behind that."

[SBLOCK=Goblin]"Rinaldo!"[/SBLOCK] exclamate Hogarth with a slight deseperation in his voice. [SBLOCK=Goblin]"Did you hear yourselves?"[/SBLOCK]

"As fine as you" Rinaldo replies "and as everyone else, which is too much for tehmoment, stay silent!"

[SBLOCK=Goblin]"No I won't!"[/SBLOCK] replies Hogarth his voice seems to gain some determination. [SBLOCK=Goblin]"You are not yourself. I don't know what happening, but your are not yourself."[/SBLOCK]

"I am myself and I am very fine, but I start to think I wasn't myself when I invite you to come with us when we found you in that cave" tells Rinaldo, even more annoyed and angry.

[SBLOCK=Goblin]"You were!"[/SBLOCK] tells Hogarth to Rinaldo, almost confronting him. [SBLOCK=Goblin]"It is here you are not. You told em about yourself. Ashnar, Tenebtynn, Eanos and Nurlan all spoke of you. Valeria and Salvador too. And I have seen it. You are a kind man. You value friendship and love over your business that you pretend to be the principal value in your life. Nurlan told me what you've done in the goblin fortress, running to the help of your friends to fight that worg. Eanos also told me what you've done in Three Ring, where you risk your life to go to the help of Nurlan and Mordik. I've seen you with Salvador, Carlo and Isabella. You love kids and couldn't tell them a bad word. Now look at yourself, you speak to us like if we were dirt, us our friends."[/SBLOCK] Hogarth turns to Tenebrynn. [SBLOCK=Goblin]"And you Tenebrynn, you are a man of thinking, who knows both courage and intellectual. You've never shown such a lack of attention to your mission."[/SBLOCK] He then looks at Vanitri. [SBLOCK=Goblin]"Even him, his changes are obvious, he always seems interested by all this magical phenomena but look at him, an army of wizard could cast all kind of spells in front of him, or even on him he wouldn't care much. Even Laynie doesn't seems like herself, less joyfull."[/SBLOCK]

"Oh yeah? And what have happen?" asks Rinaldo

"I don't know..." answers Hogarths after a moment of thinking.

"Exactly, because you know nothing. You are always ten miles away from any of us. So keep quiet while I finish to read that book." tells Rinaldo almost exasperated by teh fact he had to hear that long speech.

Hogarth seems a bit unbalanced by the last replies of Rinaldo.

[SBLOCK=Goblin]"But tell the last time you were like that?"[/SBLOCK] finally asks Hogarth.

Rinaldo stares a moment at Hogarth before answering "Oh, just shut up!" and turns back his attention to the book he tries to read.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Hmmm... a 9 of Intelligence in a group of 16 and more of Int... not surprising he hasn't contrinbuted much yet, but I think it is time to put his Wisdom 16 into action... something wierd is happening, but he doesn't have a clue yet of what it is.[/SBLOCK]

(OOC: Well 16 Wisdom is good for Will saves at least Not that Ashnar doesn't have better thanks to his cloak, of course)

"You know, I think you're approaching this the wrong way, Mr. Angry," Laynie points out, "It will take you almost eight to translate that book without knowing the language, but I could do it much faster since I do know the language. Then you could read my translation and look for clues. Isn't that smarter? Even the idiot-man who talks like a goblin knows you're being stupid."
