Not my point. I'm talking about whether or not your issue is with supernatural fighters (small "f") or spellcasting fighters. The source of the supernatural-ness is not the issue.

The concept has been done in previous editions via prestige classed and kits. Divine Champion in 3.0 comes to mind.
