"He is no myth, I am afraid. He tried to kill my companions, my brother, and me. I suggest we deal with the scout in some fashion, though contacting the adventurers couldn't hurt either."

Raven walks to the railing and gazes out over the city, her arms crossed protectively across her chest. She then turns back.

"We can't simply go dashing off to the Mournlands in chase of this scout. It would probably be a wild goose chase with no reward to us, or Khorvaire. He's already told Orerreth where he thought the crystal was. If he were lying to Orerreth, I don't see why he would tell us the truth. The fact is, the crytal is probably already with the lord of the blades if he was lying. If he was telling the truth, then it was probably taken by someone else after Basher was dug up, and the scout would be of no help. "

She turns to Orerreth. "You have powerful friends, obviously, who used their spells to contact this scout, and scan the minds of the adventurers. Could these people help us narrow down where the crystal might be now? I might be able to help, as well. I have been visiting the local offices of House Orien. I believe I am back in their good graces. I could ask around and see if anyone there could help us track down the crystal, or find someone who could."

Niccolo - male human swashbuckler

Niccolo thinks. "We could talk to the adventurers who brought Basher back and see what else was there -- perhaps there was a chest they left behind, or sold elsewhere." He pauses. "For that matter, the message said 'his', not 'Basher's', didn't it? Could there be someone else involved?"

OOC: I'm going to be out of town for about a week starting tomorrow; I'll try to check in once if I can but feel free to roll for me if something comes up.

Raven turns to Orerreth. "You have powerful friends, obviously, who used their spells to contact this scout, and scan the minds of the adventurers. Could these people help us narrow down where the crystal might be now?"

"That's funny, because it actually was House Cannith who did that. I still have some contacts there that I'll try to use again, but obviously I have to do that alone."

"I think that's enough planing for now. I'll leave a message at the tavern where we met ealier, tomorrow at this hour, telling you where you can find me. We'll share what we learned then, and I'll have something for you."

ooc: So, Raven wants to contact with her House, while Niccolo and Siobhan think that looking for the adventurers would be a good idea. Since the others have not posted, I'll suppose they go along the main group.

Where are you going to start looking for those adventurers?

(OOC: Siobhan has no idea--she'll look to the others for their expertise and let them make the choice, particularly those with Int or Cha based skills that could be used to help, like Raven if Raven hasn't gone off to see her house yet.)

"That sounds like a good plan, Orerreth." says Raven. "Good luck to you. It's been a pleasure meeting you. Before you go, do you have any information about these adventurers? Their names? Their current locations?" She shakes his hand.

After he leaves, she turns to the others. "I'll go contact my house to see if anyone there can be of help. I'll meet you back at the tavern for dinner?"

OOC: If Orerreth is able to provide any leads, and if she has time after using her Favored in House feat, Raven will use her gather information to see if she can learn more about the adventurers. Her main concern is to find out more about the crystal and who might have it. Since the existance of such crystals is no secret, and neither is the general information about the knowledge this one holds, she feels free to discuss it in general terms with her contacts. She's curious if anyone knows about this crystal, about this part of Basher's life (& death), about caravans to the Mournlands, and whatever else. The favored in house feat is pretty general. In a sense, it seems more useful to the DM than to the player. Let me know, Someone, if you want me to be more specific about who she asks or what she asks about. Thanks.

"No, I don't recall their names, but I bet they didn't place Basher's body in that chapel. They had to contact the authorities looking for a reward: Id' start there, if I were you." answers Orerreth.
