ooc: No problem. Suppose you're at Niccolo's spot or south of Siobhan's square right now. Edit: a readied attack wouldn't have saved her, since she was downed by a spell.
OOC: I'm still confused, since that should have blocked anyone attacking her. Maybe I'm just not following the map.

Stulgar will pick up his sister and carry her away from her attackers.

ooc: If you read Siobhan wasn't attacked in melee this turn, it was Ceshil casting Whelm. Also it wasn't possible to position yourself to intercept the warforged that went after her when she fell prone after jumping.

Anyway, post coming shortly.

(OOC: Yeah, I figured that one out--no worries, Bront, you couldn't have stopped it. Damn! I wish my stupid hotel hadn't had trouble with ENWorld--I would have never had her do that :()

Stulgar picks up Siobhan and moves towards the end of the pier. Even encumbered by his sister's weight, the shifter is still amazingly fast. Niccolo and Raven aim and shoot their crossbows; Niccolo's shot is hurried and flies wide, but Raven had some time to aim and shoots true. Ceshil however ducks just in time and what would have been a deadly shot becomes only a graze, and curses back at you. But he seems to be limited to that, as he doesn't cast any new spell.

The warforged cimbing the piers are more menacing, however, and force the pair to retreat north.

Meanwhile Latharion picks up the chest and retreats. Several constructs go after him, but thankfully even loaded with the heavy chest they aren't as fast as him. The hound-like construct pushed on the piers from below may be different, however.

[ooc: By my calculations Stulgar is carrying now a madium load, and his adjusted speed was 65 feet, counting Haste, which my calculations just ended (so Stulgar's movement drops to 35). Niccolo failed his shot by a wide margin, while Raven scored a critical -the damage was however low (5 damage)-

Latharion is also carrying a medium load and his speed is now 20 feet.

It's your turn now.]

Latharion makes a run for it, disappearing around the corner. Once he is out of sight he drops the chest and gets ready to chop at the dog if it rounds the corner.

Niccolo - human male swashbuckler

Niccolo reloads his crossbow and retreats north, intending perhaps to circle around and meet Latharion if we can evade the nearby warforged.

The group has now almost escaped, except for Orerreth, who is underwater and on his own. Raven will retreat 30 feet and reload her crossbow.

OOC: Ahh, that's what I missed, thanks :)

ooc: I take you continue carrying Siobhan away from the warforged but staying in touch with Raven and Niccolo? Feel free to correct me if you don't. New post coming shortly.

Latharion runs away from the warforged as fast as he can, carrying his chest. He can hear the warforged behind him, pursuing him relentlessly, but is the hound-like construct the one that catches him the first. It stops, consolidating a foothold on all four preparing itself to jump on you.

Meanwhile Raven, Niccolo and stulgar continue retreating north. The second hound-like construct catches with them, and so does the warforged nearest to you. The construct’s axe whizzes cleaving Raven’s image in two, which trembles briefly and retruns to it’s normal position. Niccolo evades easily the metallic hound’s attack.

[ooc: Notice I didn’t move Stulgar’s position; I included him for the sake of completeness, but he can be much north of that position if he needs to be. Raven’s Displacement spell ended this turn. Latharion is threatened by an iron defender, who have a high Movement rate; you know you can’t outrun it, and it can attack you the next round even moving at your fastest rate (as long you carry the chest)

You’re in the verge of leaving the map or had done so entirely, so we’ll have to rely on descriptions. The streets north of these piers are reasonably wide, but cramped with ladders, piles of crates, rowboats, and people (who quickly move out of the way). The doors and windows to inside the buildings are small and well reinforced, and more than a few doors don’t open to the street level, but are built on the top of short flights of stairs that lead to houses haphazardly built one on top of another. Running requires moving in a straight line, so it’s almost impossible to do in these streets.

Damage: Raven 16, Stulgar 13, Siobhan 8 and 9 non-lethal, Latharion 4]

Raven

OOC: K-local 8+5=13

IC: Raven drops her crossbow. It's not worth the few seconds it would take to stow. She steps back 5 feet to get a little clearance, and readies her shield and sword.

As she does so she shouts, "You may kill us, warforged bastards, but you'll never bring down the rule of Boranel ir'Wynarn as long as a single loyal Breelander stands!"

OOC: If appropriate, Raven has Bluff +8, diplomacy +7

Niccolo - human male swashbuckler

Niccolo switches to his rapier again as he engages the iron defender. As he fights, he spares some glances behind him to find an escape route.

OOC: I dunno how long it takes to stash the crossbow -- if it's a move action it seems like I can still attack, since I have Quick Draw. Otherwise I'll just drop it.

OOC: Any ways out from here? Stacks of boxes to climb onto, or roof ladders or something? Presumably the iron defender can't climb well if it's built like a dog.

ooc: That's a reasonable possibility, given how I described the place; Climb, jump or balance checks would be in order, depending on your intended actions. Storing the crossbow takes a move action, so you can do that, quickdraw a weapon and attack in the same round.

ooc: Any actions for Stulgar?
OOC: You had him move with the group, that's what he'll do at this point. He's still raging, so not exactly in the most rational mode, but he knows "outnumbered and outgunned" when he sees it. As long his his Sister is safe, he'll be ok.

ooc: ok, only DrZombie left. I'll post tomorrow in any case, as Latharion is separated from the group and I'd really like to wrap this up soon for good or bad.
