The Hobbit: Theatrical Release or TV Mini-Series?

"3 and a half hours"???

Gee, I hope my movie theaters bring back intermissions at least in the middle of the film for bathroom breaks ... or offer free portable "john" bottle.

"Why are the floors so sticky?"

"Don't ask."

A movie. If you can't take a very simple story like The Hobbit and cram into into 3 hours, then you are doing something wrong. There was not much characterization and the story was simple. A movie, or heck a new chartoon would be fine by me. PLease keep your booing down to a minimum:p

Its not a question of 'if' it will get made, but 'when'.

And I think it will be a feature film. New Line again. 3 hours.

Its their biggest cash cow. How could they not make a prequel?
Plus the fact that more people have read the hobbit than LotR.
And we have the battle of 5 armies. More Gandalf the Grey. And SMAUG.
SMAUG will be one of the biggest selling points, and also one of the reasons why it can't be on the small screen. You need a big screen budget to do him right, and a big screen to see him on.

Oh rest assured, my precious. It. Will. Happen.
