Whoah.... I bet you get carded for liquor all the time! What are you talking about?
<-- That's my driver's license photo...
When I ran a cyberpunk-style campaign based on D&D rules, the equivalent of runners were called Lancers, short for Freelancers, and they'd be matched with clients through an app called Lancr. The schtick for it was that it had originally been coded by a D&D nerd, so each Lancer's profile page on the app was literally the PC's character sheet. What gaming needs is "Delvr," the high-quality, data-driven match-making app for dungeoneers, spacers, investigators, and other such deviants.
Monetize that, wotc!
Sounds like you need to better secure your goat. Some people on these forums (and by "some people" I mean one person in particular whose every post seems to get my goat),
Now that would be something that might be worth including in any VTT that WotC puts out - the ability to be matched up with other gamers looking for a game based on things like location and time available, etc.
I was considering making a joke involving a millenial-style side-part hair cut, but that would be in poor taste.
If it wasn't for poor taste, I'd have no taste at all!
I think that's great for the game, really. Monetize films, toys, and so on, let the hobby truck on.The ttrpg is the least of their priorities.
