Of course. You shouldn't do what you don't want to do. Though Traveller is sort of built around it, so one is going to have modulate the power levels a bit.I have a little more respect for randomness baked into lifepath, but I'm still unsold that when I go into a game its a virtue to be dragged off into doing something I don't want to.
