Let's just say that, though I appreciate the quality of the moderation here on Enworld, there's still a few posters I find deeply creepy and I just dont understand how are they not kicked out.

But that's a me problem, I guess.

Some people are extremely well practised at walking the line and they revel in the 'danger' of it.

I'm starting to think there are people on this board who not only don't actually play RPGs, they don't even like RPGs. They're just here to make sure we know how miserable they are.

Which, OK, it's cheaper than therapy, but I'm still putting you on ignore.

For what its worth, that tends to be a problem for most people who have a really in-depth understanding of a particular subject, especially an
engineering or natural sciences one; fiction often takes liberties here, and most people can just shrug and move on (if they know It Doesn't Work That Way at all) but a specialist is just going to struggle here. This applies to movies, TV shows and games particularly.

I think there can be situations where that is, if not acceptable, at least understandable. It still can make them almost impossible to take in discussion, though, as the frustration will spill right out.
