I know I shouldn't engage in these "science vs. fiction" arguments that go nowhere. But I'm a civil engineer, specializing in water resources...I design and construct large-diameter water pipelines. The properties, behavior, and mechanics of water is my Whole Deal.
What I hear you saying is that you want to be tagged every time people discuss sewer adventures.

(Actually, I bet sewers are probably one of the least interesting ways to put your real-life knowledge in a game.)

For what its worth, that tends to be a problem for most people who have a really in-depth understanding of a particular subject, especially an
engineering or natural sciences one; fiction often takes liberties here, and most people can just shrug and move on (if they know It Doesn't Work That Way at all) but a specialist is just going to struggle here. This applies to movies, TV shows and games particularly.
Yeah, there are whole movies and TV shows I have to grind my teeth through. I suspect most people have that reaction to when their profession is on screen. (Although I guess screenwriters probably portray the screenwriting business accurately.)

That one is too easy, who am I to judge a man for the amount of plastic in his closet or on his desk, or stacked around his house?!

Glass Houses and all that. ;)

No serious miniature enthusiast would live in a glass house - it just doesn't have the structural integrity to support the stacks of boxes piled up to the ceiling in every room...

Decades later I still get the urge to gnash my teeth when thinking of the party of engineers who voluntarily TPK'd themselves because I accidentally described an ice bridge that wouldn't actually hold the weight of the party... :devilish:

Truly, nobody has ever been persecuted like those who like pineapple on pizza. The most oppressed minority.

Except, that's not true. Grow up and just move on with the fact that you like a niche pizza flavour for goodness's sake. You're not fighting a moral battle when you're discussing pizza.
