If you have to identify the property something is from, it's not "iconic."
And student bards never interact with their underclassmen unless they're alumni.I feel Bard's are best envisioned as old school English teachers that viciously mock others for improper grammer.

That's a compelling example. Hmm.In general, I agree. But I could find exceptions. For example, I would argue that for various reasons one very iconic spaceship is the original ship from Asteroids. But if I posted a picture alone, I would probably have to identify it because the image alone is just too minimalist.
The problem is that references age while remaining iconic. That is to say, to use a extra dumb example, not everyone who recognizes Superman's S shield have evervread a Superman comic or seen a Superman film/TV episode and might not know who Jimmy Olsen or Braniac are. Superman and the S are an icon, and being so, it is more likely that someone who recognizes the icon knows very little about it. Some people probably assume the character originated with the Reeves film.In general, I agree. But I could find exceptions. For example, I would argue that for various reasons one very iconic spaceship is the original ship from Asteroids. I also think this conversation is probably safe to have in the original thread. Probably.
Everyone knows that you don't make pizza while under the influence. You eat it! Duh!Some of y'all haven't made pizza under the influence, and it shows.
Man. Of all the posts in this thread, this one has to be the one that's utterly impossible to pin down to whatever thread you are talking about.Repeating that claim does not make it true, but I am not inclined to argue with you.
