Have you filed the complaint with Ebay yet? In my experience they make this surprisingly easy for the buyer. In fact, I've read a lot more complaints from sellers that buyers get refunded for crazy requests. I've only had to complain twice for things that were blatantly wrong that I don't feel any guilt for, but I didn't really need to provide what I would consider "proof" either time. Kinda scary for the sellers, actually.

Not yet. The seller has been really communicative, and I have hope that I will find a resolution.

Watching an internet mob form in real time over half-understood information is really bizarre. I would jump in and correct but the mob will turn. And I'm not interested in internet drama. Like, I get it, it's a trust thing and it goes both ways. But I feel a little helpless in this regard.

The best defense I have is the Post Office weighed the package at 177 grams. I weighed the magazine I got and it was 100 grams, so even if he had sent two, it should have been over 200 grams when weighed at the post office.

Possibly the delivery was never recorded by them. I've had that happen a few times, when it's a third party purchase and delivery.

It was just the one time, but I've had that happen also.
